Vehicle Detail

Up for bid is a 1967 Chevrolet Chevelle 300 Deluxe. This car is a true cream puff. I purchased this car from the granddaughter of the original owner. It was purchased on May 31, 1967 at Frank Chevrolet in Portland, OR for $2823.65. My friend inherited the car in 1985 with only 13,689 miles on it. She had to replace the engine because of it sitting for so many years. She used it as her daily driver for the next 13 years then parked it in 1998 with 69,984 miles on it. I've put about 1,000 miles on it since purchasing it. It now has just about 71k miles. It is equipped with the 230 CID 6 cyl. engine, Powerglide 2-Speed automatic transmission, power steering, and AM Radio. The exterior is Granada Gold and the interior is Olive/Gold paint with Fawn cloth upholstery. The exterior is in great shape. Being almost 40 years old and mostly original paint, there are some chips on the door edges and only minor chips in the paint on front of car (see photos). One minor ding in left front grill trim (by headlight - see photo). It was repainted on roof and rear quarters/trunk in the early '90s. There is a small spot where something in the trunk bumped the lower area on driver's side and cracked the paint (see photo) The interior is all 300 Deluxe - rubber floor (no carpet) and cloth bench seats. There is a small tear on the driver's side that could be repaired. The seats show minor wear (staining) that may come clean or just order new replacements from many of the GM aftermarket suppliers. Radio, heater, lights, windows, etc. all work great. I added the Rally wheels with Dunlop Radials and cop caps. The front coils were cut to lower the car for cruising and I will include the original 14" wheels with dog dish caps and radial white wall tires. The spare is original bias-ply tire that looks like it never saw the road. I hate to part with this car but I have Wayyyyy too many projects and I need to scale back. This car is in great shape for a 1967 vehicle, but you know that it is sold in AS-IS condition. Ask any questions before bidding. I feel that I have disclosed everything about this car, but it is your responsibility to ask if you have specific questions about this car. If you have less than 10 feedbacks contact me prior to bidding. I will post questions and responses here. I have set a fair reserve price, well below the appraised value of $6500. I require a non-refundable deposit of $500 within two business days after the successful close of this auction from the winner. The balance is due within 10 days. We can work out the timing of the pick-up of the vehicle.
