Guess who's back, back again, tell a friend... Attention Investors, Collectors and Camaro Enthusiasts! The 1986 Camaro Iroc Z your about to witness is a true documented one owner, low mileage car equipped with a rare 5 speed transmission. The color combination of white with red interior is also rare. I’ve nicked named this Iroc Z “Cool and Collected” because it’s just that! Read on for a complete description and multiple photos. Key words that describe this collectable 1986 Camaro Iroc Z: 1. The third generation Camaros are on their way to becoming very collectable. Not only were these cars cool looking but extremely fun to drive. Most of these cars have used and abused. The nicer low mileage examples are tough to find. A perfect Car Fax is included. 2. This Camaro Iroc Z is a documented one-owner car that was garaged its entire life. It was purchased at Weinder Chevrolet in Central City, NE April 18, 1986 and stayed there until April 04-19-2010. 3. All documentation including the retail buyers order, temporary registration, normal registration, owner’s manual, warranty manual, maintenance manual and complete Chevrolet Commitment to Excellent package is included with the sale price of the car. 4. This Iroc Z is in excellent condition as the pictures indicate. When I received the car off the trailer it had some minor scuffs and scratches that really bothered me. If you know anything about the paint quality of these cars it wasn't so good. The factory paint job had alot of orange peel and I always wanted a show quality paint job on one of my Iroc Z's so I hooked up with my friend Carl at Carls Collision. Carls Collision is one of the best body shops in the country. They've painted cars for Chip Foose and Celebrity Builds on Fox T.V. They've also painted many of my classic cars that have sold at Barrett Jackson. The new paint color is the correct GM white. THIS PAINT JOB IS SUPERIOR TO THE FACTORY PAINT JOB AND IS SHOW QUALITY. You'll possibly have the nicest paint of any Iroc Z out there. Were talking about thousands of dollars invested! This Iroc Z runs and drives like the day it rolled off the showroom floor. 5. The 5.0L V8 4 BL OHV engine is paired with a rare 5-speed transmission. Finding a low mileage (less then 20K) show quality unmolested Iroc Z with a 5-speed is like finding a needle in a haystack. I challenge you to find a car like this. You might find one or two if you’re lucky. 6. This Iroc Z is loaded including all the power equipment, T-tops, Bose sound, etc. 7. A complete service was just completed which included the following: Synthetic Oil change with filter, air filter, oxygen sensor, antifreeze flush, four new tires that were balanced, front end alignment, brake cleaning and check over. Introduction: Hello, I’m Marc Schiliro from MS CLASSIC CARS. You might recognize my name from other magnificent classic cars I’ve listed for sale nationally. I feature beautiful cars at every Barrett Jackson auction and have been fortunate to have sold some in the top 25 highest sales priced vehicles. I’ve also featured classic cars featured at the Carlisle Expo and Atlantic City auctions. Magazines such as Mustangs and Fords, Mustang Enthusiast, Mustang Times, Smoke Signals and the Dupont Registry have highlighted my cars. I specialize in extremely detailed classic cars. I buy cars that are finished, I redesign other people’s restorations and also coordinate complete restorations from start to finish. I strongly feel my cars have that “POP” factor. Although my classic cars are custom I try to keep the perfect mixture of old and new. The Market: I’ve been playing with classic cars for over ten years now and have realized that the classic car market is a great place to invest money. When the economy is strong, the classic car market is extremely strong and when the economy isn’t strong the classic car market holds its own. I’ve sold cars for strong prices in both economic conditions. The reason classic cars make such great investments are because people are crazy about cars, especially classic cars! I’ve learned it’s not just a certain group of people but all different types of people and ages. An example would be the Barrett Jackson auto auctions. Not only do millions of people watch it live on the Speed channel but hundreds of thousands of people attend these auctions. I’ve always told people that extremely detailed classic cars will always attract top dollar. Everyone recognizes and appreciates attention to detail. Currently the custom classic car market is very strong mostly because every car is different from the next one. They each have their own character. The factory correct classic cars have overall also remained strong. The type of car and its availability, options and documentation plays a major part. People always mention that the classic car market is down in conversation but the reality is it isn’t. I ask people to elaborate on the statement they made and they get tongue twisted. Yes, certain cars a few years ago were bringing much more than they are today. An example would be a 1969 Camaro Z28. In 2007 I attended Barrett Jackson in Palm Beach, FL and every #1 condition 1969 Camaro Z28 was averaging $90,000+. Fast-forward three years later and there averaging $60,000+. The reason for the drop isn’t the classic car market or the economy; it’s the fact that the market was saturated with 1969 Camaro Z28’s. Most of buyers bought when the car was hot and then everyone and there brother went out and restored 1969 Camaros and now there’s multiple cars to chose from at every auction and every classic car website. The opposite thing has happened with other cars such as a 1969 Mustang Shelby GT500. A few years ago they were selling in the $60,000 range and now they’re selling in the $90,000 range. People who really study the classic car market realize it’s a very good to invest in classic cars but only if you know what’s hot and what’s not. Third Generation Camaros have almost doubled in value over the last three years or so and are continuing to climb. The smart decision would be to get your investment before things get out of control. The Description: The year was 1986 and the Camaro Iroc Z was the big thing as it was introduced in 1985. Mr. and Mrs. Clauff who were from Central City, Nebraska decided to car shopping for whatever caught their eye. They walked into Weidner Chevrolet’s showroom on April 18, 1986 and there was a beautiful white with red interior brand new 1986 Camaro Iroc Z! Mrs. Clauff immediately fell in love and had to have it. Next thing you know they're signing their lives away and fighting over who was going to drive it home. Guess who won that battle? They traded in a 1977 Ford Thunderbird. Over the next couple of years it was only driven about 14,000 miles or so. With two younger children it was hard to pack everyone in so they decided to buy a 1988 Ford Bronco II, which would better for the family. The Iroc Z became the third car and found its way deep in the back of their garage. I was only taken out occasionally for a quick run and wash. The oil was changed often changed with Synthetic. Mr. Clauff has always been a big believer in Synthetic oil. Twenty-four years had passed by and together the Clauff’s decided it was time to trade in their Iroc Z. Now in their sixties it didn’t make sense to own a sports car so they went to Tonniges Chevrolet in Osceola, NE and purchased a 2009 GMC Acadia SLE. They made a deal which included trading their baby. I’m not referring to one of their children but their Iroc Z. The dealership was very excited about the low mileage Iroc Z and thought bringing it to auction would fetch the best price. So April 19, 2010 it was sold to a dealer in Michigan. The dealership in Michigan listed it for sale and along came Marc Schiliro. I grew up with third generation Camaros and have owned many beautiful ones over the years. I currently own the most rare and documented Camaro Iroc Z of all time. It’s the 1985 Camaro Iroc Z Live Aid Signature Car that has less than 800 miles! A complete description with multiple photos can be seen on my website. Goggle my name or Live Aid Camaro and you’ll find it. When I got this Iroc Z it was 100% original!!!!!!! Mr. Clauff never replaced anything but the oil and battery. As I mentioned above, when I received the car off the trailer it had some minor scuffs and scratches that really bothered me. The interior was absolutely brand new. Mechanically the car needed to be freshened up so I had it completely serviced. The service included oil and filter change, a new air filter, antifreeze flush, Oxygen sensor replaced, four new tires and a front-end alignment. Of course I had to give it a Marc Schiliro detail and it was ready to show off. I’ll let the photos do the talking on the condition of this car. Conclusion: This 1986 Camaro Iroc Z has everything going for it. It’s a documented one owner car with complete history, all paperwork, low mileage, excellent color combination and oh yeah, IT’S A 5-SPEED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This Iroc Z is in show quality condition and will be an attraction wherever you go. Remember, owning this car won’t lose you money but make you money. This vehicle can be inspected by appointment only. Please call me @ 401-339-8966 or email me with any questions. Thank you.
