Vehicle Detail
1962 Lincoln Continental Up for auction is my very clean and reliable 1962 Lincoln Continental. This is a true California black-plate car that has been here since the 60’s and stored for most of its life. 100% Rust Free! I purchased it from the original family in San Diego about two years ago and since then done a lot of work to it. Most of the work is done and can be enjoyed as is. I wish I could keep it but I recently purchased another 62 Lincoln Convertible so this one has to got to get that project rolling.. My loss your gain.. Has original 430 big block with very smooth shifting C-6 trans.. Both have 67k original miles. Car runs excellent and has lots of power. Fresh NOS 2 barrel carburetor, electric fuel pump (with brand new mechanical fuel pump included in case you want to convert it back to original) all new brakes, brake lines, rebuilt brake booster and master cylinder (car stops on a dime!), new rear air shocks, Optima battery. Power steering works great and car handles excellent at all speeds. Loves the open road and feels like you’re riding on a cloud with the stock suspension. No squeaks or rattles. Brand new tires with less than 200 miles on them. They are not original whitewalls. I tried to find 4” wide white wall tires that would fit the stock 14” wheels for the longest time and I gave up because the biggest I could find was in 2” whitewall so I made these using Gledi tire Paint which is what many rat rodders use. I masked them very well so you really can’t tell they’re painted unless u get inches away. If you don’t like them just flip them around and they still have the stock 1” white wall on the other side. Car was painted about a year ago and looks great. All original sheet metal with No Bondo or rust problems anywhere. Has a couple very minor dings but no chips in the paint. Shines up very nice. All original chrome trim. Many parts have been rechromed within the last few weeks including the door handles, taillight bezels, some of the peak moldings, hood ornament, ect.. The bumpers are still original but look nice. Electrical is in great shape. This car came with all the options including A/C.. It works fine, I just removed the air compressor last month to have it rebuilt but never got around to it so I’m just including it in the sale and leaving it up to the new owner to get it rebuilt (costs about $200). Even the original AM radio works perfect with the original power antenna that goes up and down from the radio knob controls. All 4 windows go up and down fine and even has rare working power quarter windows. I tinted the car last month 5% limo tint. Spent a little over $2,000 less than a month ago redoing the interior. Including fresh upholstery, door panels, molded carpet, headliner, and still has original wood trim all around. Power front bench seat works great, goes up & down, slides front & back, and can be raised up or down.. This is a true classic American luxury car that still gives modern sedans a run for their money. I turn heads and get compliments everywhere I drive it.. If you don’t like attention or rolling in Presidential style this is not the car for you. I guarantee all eyes are on you when you pull up with your friends and those famous suicide doors open up. This car is too sexy.. I still wanted to do a few things to it like drop the suspension a couple inches and detail the engine compartment & trunk a bit more. I’ll leave the final touches to the new owner. You can even consider renting it out for weddings and have the car pay for its own gas and repairs. I only used it for two weddings and made $800. As all other classic cars it is being sold in “AS IS” condition with no warranty implied or expressed with this sale. Please ask questions if you are unsure of anything prior to bidding. The car is available for inspection by and serious bidder before the auction ends so feel free to give me a call at (714)234-9674 -Dave. This is a NO RESERVE auction and it will sell to the highest bidder. Please don’t ask me how much it will take to end the auction or if I will consider any trades. Do not bid unless you already have the funds available. Clean CA title in hand ready to be transferred to the new owner. View my feedback and bid with confidence. Overseas bidders are welcome to bid and I can assist with the shipping process. I also know a few companies in my area that export to most countries. click on this link to view over a 100 pics of the car from my photobucket album: http://s562.photobucket.com/albums/ss66/240zFerrariFan/six%20deuce/
