toplinetraders Store 1987 BMW 535is Sport ART Car Year: Make: Model: 1987 BMW 535is Sport Miles: Features: Price: 299xxx Sport Package $3,995 One-Of-A-Kind Art Car! The Ultimate California Driving Machine In a world of blacks, whites and drabby grays, assembly lines and disposable junk, this car breaks the mold, stands apart and makes a statement! This classic BMW will turn heads and put a smile on your face every time you get behind the wheel. It will make driving FUN again. Hand-painted by award-winning industrial designer Evan Gary, this is an "absolutely one-of-a-kind rolling canvas", a truly special car that gets lots of attention wherever it goes. But it's not just about "show". The 535is is very functional and fun to drive too. Features include factory sport "is" front and rear spoilers, electric sport seats, Motorsport steering wheel, 16" BBS black-center mesh wheels with excellent tires, cd stereo with trunk amp. Has electric windows and sunroof, cruise control. All gauges and controls work perfectly. Clear title, current registration, just passed stringent smog test. Rust-free California car formerly diamondshwarz black metallic. 182 horsepower 3.5 liter inline six cylinder engine mated to factory 4 speed automatic transmission. The engine runs strong, but with noisy tappets. Good brakes with anti-lock function. Actual mileage on the car is approx 299,000 well-maintained miles. As good as this car is, there is room for improvement, and some things that could be fixed or upgraded... A/C is not blowing cold (not a big deal in San Francisco). Loose/clunky suspension with associated slight wheel shimmy, wear on leather seating, heat cracks on dash and some dry weatherstripping. I have used this car as my daily driver for the past month, and it drives fine. But if you wanted to put more time and attention into the car, you could make it even nicer. As a one-of-a-kind work of art, as well as a classic example of BMW engineering, this car's value will only go up from here. Enjoy the ride!
