I am auctioning this resurrected 1954 Ford F100 pickup with NO RESERVE for a friend. It was intended to be used as a shop delivery. It has been “patched-up” to make a decent looking daily driver/shop errand runner. A ground up restoration effort was not intended or attempted on this pickup. After driving the pickup around my friend realized that the manual transmission/clutch aggravated and old leg injury and it would not be suitable as a daily driver for the shop. This pickup was acquired through an old vehicle trade and its previous history is not known. It has a clear Kansas title. This pickup has been converted to 12v electrical system with a modern alternator adapted. Head lights, tail/brake lights are functioning. Considerable repairs to the original electrical wiring harness was required. The windshield wiper motor is electric but the wiring was not get completed. The heater motor wiring has not been repaired and does not fuction. The engine appears to be Mercury Y-block V8 motor of unknown capacity that starts easily and runs with no water or oil leaks. The motor is quiet and emits very little smoke when running. An engine oil change was completed before running/driving the pickup. The fuel tank was flushed out and the carburetor and fuel pump were disassembled and cleaned before attempting to start motor. The motor/transmission/running gear was not disturbed and is functioning properly. The exhaust is complete and leak free front to rear. The brakes are working but were not inspected. A complete inspection/repair by the winning bidder is recommended to assure safe operation. The rear tires are new. The front tires are used with approximately 50% tread remaining. This pickup has fresh paint applied to enhance its appearance and to prevent further deterioration of the sheet metal. This truck was not intended to be a show vehicle, only as a daily driver/delivery. The windshield appears to have been replaced in its past because there are not pits, chips or clouding visible. There is a spare passenger vent/wing-window that is wrapped in paper and shown on the seat that is included in the auction. See photo. This vehicle is being sold "as is where is" with no warrenty or guarantee implied or expressed. The owner/seller will be glad to provide coordination and loading assistance if required.
