Vehicle Detail

Used Ford Aspire for sale as a parts car or fix I have a used Ford 1997 Aspire for sale. This car has been sitting in my drive way for about a year. My plan was to fix it and use it as a winter car for the winter since it is front wheel drive as is my current vehicle is not. But due to other pressing financial obligations I can no longer try to repair it and I must now sell it. I will now try to give you a little history on the car and try to tell you as much as I know that is wrong with the vehicle because I do not want anyone to BID ON IT if they are not sure they can deal with it's problems!!! Please don't bid this car would need WORK!! Now then I gave this car to my idiot younger brother a year ago because he needed a car and at the time I wasn't using the Aspire. My mistake! When I gave it to him it was in fairly good running condition when I got it back it looked like it was driven through downtown Baghdad. First off he wound up cracking the windshield so that will have to be replaced. He said it happen because the hood latch which I will admit is broken let the hood fly up and hit the windshield. Which I find hard to believe because even though it does not lock when you close it you still have to pull the release handle for it to open. Next the brakes will definetly need to be fixed. They do hold now but new pads and rotors are a definte must if you are planing to fix. Now I bought a new battery for the car because my genius brother said that the altenator went on it! Well through some time effort and spending money that I could not afford I found out the problem was not the alternator but it was a seized pully belt on the AC compressor which also effected the alternator. So as a result my mechanic removed the pully for the seized AC compressor so you would have to get a new compressor for AC and put back on the pully which will come with the car. Now the engine even after sitting for a year once I bought the new battery which it didn't even need again thanks to my idiot brother started right up! Now it does sound like it needs a tune-up or so but hey I'm not a mechanic so I'm not sure of every sound that I hear it makes but for the most part once it warms up it's realtivly quiet. Now last but not least it does have a rejection sticker on it. Once again my idiot brother told me when he went to get it inspected the guy failed it because the windshieldwiper did not spray. now I've never heard of a car being failed for that as most stations don't check that but leave it to my idiot brother to find the one who would. Well I was going to look into that when I was going to fix it but now since I'm selling I can't deal with it. for all I know it could be something as simple as a fuse or clogged line. With all I have explained that is wrong with the car to fix all those problems should not cost a small fortune. In fact where it is located the mechanic that I had look at is just down the street from it. He is a good mechanic and relatively cheap. I had him install a new fuel filter and pump which is probably why the car starts right up, I also had a practicly new exahaust put on that car from the cat to the back. So those are things that are new on the car. It does make a whinning noise sometimes and I asked my mechanis what was that since the car does not have power steering. My mechanic said maybe the water pump might need to be replaced soon, but right now I can tell you it's working fine. Well I have told you just about all that is wrong. The body of the car is mostly in good shape there is some rust mostly underneath the car it does have a couple of dings the biggest one on the passenger door right next to the handle the result of someone backing into it.the hit as a result it messed up the passengerside door, making so that the only way to open the door is from the inside. There is some scratch marks some paint fade due to it sitting for a while Other then what I have told you it's still a pretty decent car. If you yourself are a mechanic or even a shade tree mechanic with just a little bit of effort this car might be a steal for you to get back on the road and running in no time. Until my idiot bother who got layed off and couldn't afford to keep the insurance on it anymore a direct result in why I had to had to take it off the road til that point he use to commute from his home in Brockton to Wellsely daily in it to get to work a distance I would say of maybe 34 miles a day. Not bad for a little commuter car. The car's paint still looks pretty good and being that it is a 4 cylinder it's great on gas mileage and with her mileage still not cracking the 100,000 mark yet she has still got plenty of life in her. Even though the car runs I would probably suggest towing it to your location till the brakes are properly adjusted but like I said they do work. With all that please do not waste my time or your's zero feedback bidders are excluded deadbeats will be reported to ebay other than that good luck biddding!
