Vehicle Detail
Pro Built 71 El Camino I traded for this El Camino with a fellow in Kansas. It was a race car that he campaigned in Sportsman Class. The was originally Pro built by a race shop in Arizona. It had a 496 Blown BB Stroker motor in it. At the time I was building a 68 Nova Pro Street car with a 468 BB. I traded just for the motor. I'm not a racer just wanted a Hot Street Car. I put the Blower motor in the Nova & the Nova motor in the El Camino. The El Camino is presently registered in Mississippi and street driven. All lights work with the exception of turn signals. It doesn't have any so you must use hand signals. Ron Francis makes a simple kit to install if you wanted to. It is NHRA Certified for Sportsman Class. The interior is all pro fabricated aluminum including the firewall. The bed cover is also fabricated aluminum. It has Lexan windows with removeable sides. The vent windows are glass and work. It has Wilwood Disc on all 4 corners. QA1 Adjustable Coil overs on all 4 corners. Chris Alston ladder bar rear clip. 12 bolt Chevy rear end with 411 gears and spool. Moser 35 spline axels with Moser C Clip Eliminator kit. 2 speed Glide transmission with a 2800 stahl converter and a brake & B&M shifter. Brake is not hooked up. New 14 gallon Fuel Cell with foam. Holley HP 150 electric fuel pump. All Stainless Braided lines with AN fittings. New Harwood lift off hood still in Gel coat. MSD Pro Billet Distributor, MSD Blaster coil, MSD Digital 6 Programmable 2 stage rev limiter, high speed retard CD ignition. Model # 6520. Dedenbear Command Center control box model CC-1 with Idec Electronic timer. Auto Meter guages. The motor is a 468 BB Chevy with Comp Cams extreme hydraulic cam.Barry Grant Demon carb. I'm not sure of the cam specs. This motor is putting out a little over 500 HP. It would definately light up the Mickey Thompson 33x18.5 tires. When I bought the Nova it had 700 miles on everything. I probably put 3500 street miles on the motor. It doesn't smoke or leak. I'm sure there is something I'm leaving out. If you need any more info please send email. Check out my 100% feedback. I have sold several big ticket items on ebay with only pictures and my word. Each buyer has been more than satisified I currently have my 2005 Vette for sale. At 62 y/o I'm getting out of Hot Rods & fast cars to spend more time with the grand kids. I have a 24' inclosed trailer that I could deliver within a couple hundred miles of Memphis,Tn. I have a clear title. It must be paid for before leaving my home. Thanks for looking. I will post a picture of it with the Blower motor also. Hooker Super Comp coated headers with coated race mufflers and Flow Master mufflers. Quitens it down for street use. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qlOU2TRx-ak
