Vehicle Detail
Reslisted Due To Non-Paying Bidder. This is a 1969 Plymouth Roadrunner A12 CLONE. It started life as a Sport Satellite, and in the very early 1990's was changed to look like an A12 car. I will tell you everything that I know about the car: The six pack hood is BRAND NEW, never even been on the road. The paint is less than a week old. It is a U.S. Bodysource hood. Just the hood and the paint cost me $900. It has hinge mounts, but I was planning on doing 4 hood pins for the A12 look, but I have NOT mounted the hinges and I have NOT drilled the hood pins. I do have the hood pins brand new AND the hood pin rear brackets, all brand new. I will drill the holes for the hood pins IF the buyer requests it. I already cut the inside of the hood to fit the aftermarket Edelbrock air cleaner. The body is in decent shape. It was painted in about 2003, but never sanded or buffed. I'm sure there is some bondo, but from what I can see, not alot I guess. The rear quarter panels (1968 style) were new in 2003 when painted, and are installed well. The doors are decent, as is the fenders and truck lid. It's not a mint body, but it isn't bad either. See the pics. They tell the story. The front right fender has an area that is slighly pushed in that I am pretty sure can be bumped out. If I didn't tell you it was there, you'd really have to look to even notice it. The floor pans have had some repair. They are o.k. Not great, not horrible. Amature. See the pics. The frame rails are decent. The trunk is decent, but needs a gasket. Again, see the pics. I installed a true Roadrunner grill and bezels. If I were going to keep the car, I would probably drive it the way it is for a while, then block sand it and paint it again. That's my opinion. The gas tank is newer. The interior is black. The rear seat is very nice. The head liner is newer, but could use a re-stretch. The sail panels need to be reattached. The kick panels are very nice. The visors come with it and are very very nice. There is no carpet. I removed it because it was getting wet from water coming in when I washed the car, someplace by the air box I think. You'll need to look at that. Needs some silicone I'm assuming, but I honestly haven't looked. When you wash the car, the carpet on the passenger side front by that air box gets just wet enough that you know you've got to take care of it. So, I pulled the carpet and threw it away. A new one is I think $125 on ebay. The rear seat is very nice. The dash pad is newer. The front seats were aftermarket, but I removed them when I found a complete set of original 1969 B body seats, headrests, tracks, and levers for the car. They need to be recovered (see the pics), which I haven't done yet. The new owner will have to do that, but I paid about $700 for those rare seats and the shipping, so be happy you're getting them (lol). There is no radio. It is not an AC car either, and has no heat. It has a floor mounted B&M shifter. Was originally a green car with a column shifter. Glass is all good. Everything rolls up and down like it should. The door panels and interior panels are newer. The windshield is newer and tinted with newer rubber gasket. The seat belts were replaced a while back. The driveline is where the money was spent on this car. It has a 440, bored .030 over. Ross pistons 11:1, balanced steel crank, Mopar purple shaft cam #P4120237 292-292 .509 lift. Forged Mopar rods, Heads ported and milled Mopar cast iron, high flow stainless valves, block decked and align honed, MSD ignition triggered by mopar elec. distributor, Holley race carb, Hemi fuel pump.Heavy duty radiator. Heavy duty driveshaft Torqueflite transmission with custom torque converter, Dana 60 rear end with 4:10 gears and 11" drums, front disc brake conversion from a 1979 Dodge Magnum, the power steering pump is from some other car that I forget what it was (sorry). B&M floor shifter. Steel wheels with 15" tires and wheels, with I think 60's on the back that are 8's (not sure, I forget...but they are very wide and they clearence fine). It has headers, but I forget the make. There is no other exhaust on it right now other than the headers, as I removed it to replace it. However, I MIGHT have a like new pair of Purple Cans that IF they fit on those headers, I'll include them. But as I said, I do need to check that out. No promises (lol). Motor has about 525 horsepower. And it's date coded from 1970 with the narrow harmonic balancer. The battery is mounted in the trunk, and it's a heavy duty one. The car sounds great. The motor runs great AND it runs cool, even down here in southwest Florida. Never EVER overheats or runs hot. It's got great horsepower. I was running Flowmaster 40's on it, and it sounds like a bridled race car on the streets, like she's just itching to be let loose. I can't drive the thing from my house to the corner gas station without tons of "thumbs up" and people stopping to look and check her out. She's just a magnet. The kids in town with the rice grinders never challenge me. Never. I run it on 93 pump gas, and it runs out pretty decent. However, if on a fill I add maybe 1-2 gallons of C12 race gas or the Sunoco 112, she flat-out comes alive. If I run it on 50/50 93 pump and C12, she runs out like a race car, but if a cop car pulls up behind you, you've got a problem (if you know what I'm sayin'). Plus, at $8.00 a gallon, 93 pump gas suits me just fine, thank you very much. I have removed the Flowmaster exhaust to replace it (which I didn't), and it is now open ceramic coated headers. In short, she just needs some finishing up. It's been unfinished for maybe two months now (meaning the interior). No big deal. Put the carpet and the seats in and she's a driver. Simple as that. Or, take her to the strip and have some fun with her that way. She's flexible. Just a lot of fun. Also included with the car (if the new owner wants) is a rust-free 1969 Satellite hood (very nice!), a 1969 B Body Roadrunner Air Conditioning compressor WITH the lines and brackets (rare original, goes as high as $350 ebay if you are a restorer), a complete nice 1969 Satellite grill with bezels, and some other misc. items I'll throw in for you. I can ship and I can deliver and I can ship internationally. If you need assistance, please email me before bidding. I will NOT take Paypal for this purchase, and I would like payment in full within 36 hours of the auction end. I can store the car for you. If it needs to be stored for more than 30 days, the rate is $75 per month (which is exactly what it costs me). As long as the car is paid in full, and you pay me the $75 per month for the storage, if can stay here a while if need be. I WANT to sell the car. BUT..... I don't NEED to sell it. That being said, please, don't waste your time and my time with stupid offers of $7000. I'm not a Mopar expert by any means, but I'm not the village idiot either. I've had a muscle car or two in my day... Please see my other auctions. I have another 1968 Roadrunner project that I'm listing, as well as a 1966 Valiant drag car old skool project, and some very rare 6 pack parts along with some other mopar goodies.
