Vehicle Detail
schwinnvixen store Up for sale is my 2002 Ford Explorer Sport Trac 4WD. I bought this when we thought we would have to endure another winter here in New England, but we just had our second child and have decided to move back west where we could be closer to family and don't need 2 trucks (my husband has one of these as well) in the big city. This truck drives great. It was owned by a U.S.M.C. veteran who told us he drove from his home in New Hampshire to work in Connecticut and to take his sons to numerous hockey tournaments here in New England. That said, most of the miles are highway miles. Look, everyone tells you their vehicle has this and has that, the miles are high because whatever...but if you drive this truck, the highway miles story seems like the only logical explanation because she drives like a dream...better than my husbands! As far as the paint and body, the previous owner said he got caught in a white-out (a blizzard type deal for those of you not from these parts) and drifted in to a snow bank going about 5 MPH (about as fast as ya wanna go in a white-out!). The result were two pressure dents on the lower left drivers side doors (one on each) that ya can't really notice unless you are looking for them at an angle. I tried to show them in one of the pics. Also, the front fender got cracked near the passengess side fog light. My husband wanted to push out the dents and fix the split, but I told him to leave my baby alone. It's a truck for *&%^ sake! The paint is nice, hasn't been buffed nor waxed in god knows how long, and the detail guy said most of the scratches would come right out with a good buf and wax. It does have it's fair share of scratches and such, but again, most will come out except for the ones that have been touched up with touch up paint...obviously, and there are a few of those. Again, it's a truck! It has all the options these were offered in 2002 to the best of my knowledge. Power everything, leather seats, sunroof, ICE COLD A/C, etc...and of course, Iit is a four wheel drive! I even have a camper shell thing for it which I will include. It came with the truck when I bought it but I thought it looked ugly (it's rear window is broken) and it made creaking noises when I went around turns. I am told they go for $500 by themselves, so keep that in mind when bidding. I WILL INCLUDE A PIC OF IT IN THIS LISTING AS SOON AS I GET TO MY STORAGE UNIT. Bottom line, it is a great little truck that I have entrusted the safety of my 2 small children (one is a newborn) in on a daily basis. That should just about say all there needs to be said. Again, we don't need two of these trucks in the city, especially when it never snows there...so I am selling this truck to fund our move...NOT because there is something wrong with it. I HAVE THE CLEAN TITLE IN HAND, NO LIENS! *-It goes without saying...but never the less, I need to write it down anyways. This is being sold as-is with no returns (kinda hard to do so when we are moving 3,000 miles away). Thanks for looking at my listing :)
