Befor I describe the car I well tell you how I got the car and what the history is on this car. The car was given to me as a partial payment on a debt owed to me (Shop Rent) . The individule that I got the car from bought this car aprox. 5 yr. ago on a Bill of Sale . (no title) . The lic. plates (calif.) that came with the car expired in 1982. Calif. DMV has no record of cars that have been out of the system for over 10 yr. To get this car registered (licenced) the owner will need to get a VIN varification done and a new title will be issued. I will leave this to the new owner as this car has to go in a no reserve auction. The person I got the car from is what I would call a Wont to be Gearhead that never had the time or cash to restore his dream car . DISCRIPTION It looks like someone started sanding the car and then lost interest , and now has surfase rust / primer /original paint on the body. There is Bondo on the right quarter panel just behind the door. I have inspected the floor pans and trunk for Body cancer (rusted out) and found them to be almost completly rust free! I check the dip stick and the oil looks OK (no sign of water) . I jump started the engine and it turned over with no problem, so I hit it with starting fluid and the engine fired up , running on starting fluid only for 10 sec. . So I would say it has a usable engine . The eng. has a Edelb. manifold & holly 4 brl. carb., its probably a 289 or 302. The interior has the original seats and as you can see is totally fried buy the desert heat. The center shift console is not in the car but Im told all these parts are available . There are some loss parts that are seen in one of the photos. Needless to say this car needs a total restoration. The good news is there is no body cancer. This car will have to be winched on to a trailer, so keep that in mind if you are having it pick up buy a auto shipper. I wont a $200 deposit on pay pal within 12hr of the close of the auction and the balance in cash or bank wire tranfer.
