I am looking to buy a new car, so I am forced to sell this one. You won't find any rust on this car. This has to be one of the most original, untouched 64 impalas out there. There are not too many left like this one. It runs and drives great. Original paint, and has never been repainted to my knowledge. 283 powerglide Power steering Factory A/C still has all 4 original T-3 Headlights that still work. All the lights work Horn works Original AM radio still works brakes work great. Transmission shifts great. Engine runs great. I have crawled under this car to look at the floors, and they are perfect. Absolutelty no rust. I took pictures of the inside of the trunk to show the trunk floor and it is perfect with no rust. No rust anywhere on this car. Bottoms of front fenders are perfect along with the rear quarters behind tires. Car has been garage kept. Interior is not perfect, but is very nice. Headliner is original with the star patterns. Headliner has no tear or rips. Door panels are original and perfect. Dash is perfect. carpet has a tear. Front seat is showing some wear. I took a picture of the front seat where the seam is coming loose. Back seat has 2 tears on the top near the package tray. I have pictures of the 2 tears. The car has a few door dings but no major damage. the worst dent is on the passenger side front door. I took a picture of it. easy fix. the side chrome is original and very shiny with some minor dings. grill is perfect. All of the rubbers around the windows are still soft with no cracks, which is hard to believe. All of the windows go up and down great. the doors shut like brand new. You dont have to slam them to close them. They close like they did in 1964. The tires are fairly new. You can drive this car across country, but it is not inspected or registered. I put some wax on the car to try and bring back the original paint, but some areas are still dull. the car has checks in the paint. This car is by no means a show car, but a very nice original untouched survivor. I put my hand on the tailpipe and it is smoothe as can be. Does not miss a beat. None of the valves tick or make noise. There are no nicks or cracks in the windshield. It is the original windshield and the blue tint on the top of the windshield is not discolored. The window cranks feel brand new. There is no slop at all in them. they are very tight. The jack in the trunk looks brand new. If you spend a few hours buffing out the paint, it will look great. But most people would go ahead and repaint the car. It is your call, but I would leave it the way it is, because they are only original once. All of the door gaps and the seams on the hood, fenders, and trunk are perfect. Brand new battery. The alternator has the correct date along with the motor. the ac belt is in the trunk. The compressor spins freely and the clutch spins freely. I am sure it just needs freon. I have never tried it. Factory tinted glass. All of the hubcaps are original and in great shape. There is an aftermarket temperature guage mounted to the bottom of the dash. I was going to remove it, but it works, so I decided to leave it. This car does not have any undercoating. I will try to get some pictures of the floors to put on the ad. These are the nicest floorboards you will find on a 64. they are perfect. All of the front eyebrows line up perfect with the grill. they have never been taken apart. the hood lip molding lines up perfect with the eyebrows also. there are no gap problems. the floors are perfect with no rust. most of the floors have the original white paint on them.
