Vehicle Detail
This car was my daily driver until Feb. 28, 2009 when my teenage son took it on a date and had a fender bender in the parking lot of a movie theater. While the damage was not that bad (wrinkled fenders, hood, and damaged bumper), the car was totaled by the insurance company. We kept the car as part of the settlement as he wanted to 'fix it up' as a project. We took off the front fenders, hood, and bumper but never made it any further with the project. He has now graduated and my wife wants it out of the yard. Prior to the wreck it was in solid mechanical condition for a car with 200k+ miles on it. It still got over 35 MPG and took me 90 miles round trip to work every day. I guess it was going to run for ever and I hated to lose it. This is probably the only reason I ever agreed to it being parked in the yard. It has basically new tires - can't find the receipt but they were only a few months old. It should crank, run, and drive (after I charge the battery) but it has sat in that location (and in that state) for over 12 months without moving. The rest of the body and interior is what you'd expect from a car of its age. It is a salvage title which means you CANNOT legally drive it on the road and would have to restore it through whatever process applies in your state. On Sep-13-10 at 16:02:13 PDT, seller added the following information: 13-Sept Update: I added extra pictures showing the engine compartment. You can see where the top, front, sides are shifted 'camera-right'. I did locate the key (for those who were wondering). And better than that, I jumped it off and it runs - so that answers that question as well. On Sep-13-10 at 16:50:33 PDT, seller added the following information: One more note: I failed to mention that it has a decent aftermarket Panasonic CD (single disc) player that is in it as well. Since I had it cranked, I drove it to the corner and back. Shouldn't be any problem to load on a trailer, or whatever.
