I just had my first child and the first to go is the muscle car. L I am selling a 1965 mustang coupe with a 302 C-4 automatic 3-speed originally from Texas. This car is 90 % complete with $13,000 invested excluding the purchase of the car. I put too much money into this car but I can’t afford to finish it at this time. The car has brand new interior, flooring, rebuilt engine, exhaust, suspension, rims, wheels, brakes and several other components. Engine/Trans: 289 block. The original engine came from a 1966. The engine has been professionally rebuilt and modified to a 302 with currently 502 miles on it. The car has dual exhaust and has powered front disc brakes with new rear drums and shoes. New 3.55 Richmond gear positive track rear end with less than 500 miles on it. A brand new suspension had been installed complete with new springs, shocks, control arms and bushings. Interior/Exterior: The interior of the car has been completely redone. The car has brand new deluxe pony interior which match the original numbers on the car. The carpet and flooring are new. The seats have been rebuilt with new padding and hardware. The door panels are also in excellent shape. The dash is in excellent shape. All windows roll up and down. The headliner is in great shape and is original. The car has new GT gauges which match the original numbers on the car. All new lights work. The horn and radio do not work or have been disconnected. The car’s glass is in good condition complete with a new windshield. The interior overall is great condition. The exterior was repainted 12 years ago with the original Wimbledon white. The exterior chrome is in excellent shape. The tires are brand new with American Racing Torque D’s. The floor pans are excellent with no rust. The car’s exterior is in good condition. The car is ready to be driven but needs some work to bring this muscle car to competition performance. The car needs some work such as bleeding the brakes (new brakes), and electrical work (the battery drains unless I flip the battery disconnect when the car is turned off. These items were on the checklist and seem simple but I do not have the time to complete. Other than minor repairs the car runs strong, fast and handles very well.
