Vehicle Detail

This classic '66 Eldo has straight gunbarrel body lines and is, in my opinion, the most beautiful Cadillac. Purchased it here 4 years ago. Only have put about 5000 miles on it since. It was garaged in Las Vegas during that time, but came from Toronto before then. We honestly don't know if the car has 12,000 or 112,000 miles on it. Records are poor. There's some underbody rust. The rest of the car is in good shape. The body looks great, but I'm told it contains a fair amount of "Bondo". She has new upholstery, a replaced transmission, and much of the engine has been overhauled. The electronics continue to be a little troublesome. At the moment the alternator doesn't seem to be charging the battery, and the right front window motor has gone out. But the electric convertible top works like a dream. I installed a low-profile, high power sound system. The faceplate automatically disappears into the head unit. A very snazzy Alpine design that is no longer made. This is a fun cruiser. Like the song says, it seats about 20. The massive front bench opens the door to all matter of interesting front seat activity (unquestionably the best part of my ownership experience). Lots and lots of replaced and rennovated parts. I had a mechanic in Las Vegas who would search out replacement parts across the country. Selling it now because I've moved back to San Francisco. I live on top of a hill in crowded part of a foggy section of the city, and it's just not Eldo country like Vegas was. I paid $17k for this car on ebay in 2004, and have put at least $25k into it. The buyer will likely be getting quite a bargain. But I have a startup to run and it's time to move on. Best time to test drive would be the weekend of 9/11-12.On Sep-06-10 at 11:04:49 PDT, seller added the following information: NOTE: BETTER PICTURES HERE: http://picasaweb.google.com/alexed15/Cadillac# This classic '66 Eldo has straight gunbarrel body lines and is, in my opinion, the most beautiful Cadillac.
