This 356 C Project is looking for a new home. We raised the car to take pictures of the under section which is why the wheels are slightly tilted. They sit correctly now. The engine does run with starter fluid but has a bad pump. (Engine # 806601) is a 90HP engine but was told it also has some upgrades to produce further power. With fuel delivery solved this 356 should be a great runner! Transmission also feels good with good gear lever movement. Brakes also are functioning. Comes with the early type Fuchs mounted. Floor is all solid with surface rust that is due to original undercoat having worn off in some areas. This is the original floor and is very serviceable. My inspection did not uncover any rust or weak spots which even surprised me since that is so typical of 356s. The front frame area and V brace under the car was also original and not rusted. The inner closing panels and longitudinal as wall as the jack points also solid. Upper and lower rockers also solid. Inner door panel area nice and solid. Door bottoms look good with small issues. Some rust bubbles on the outside declid and rear window edge. If not for the very tip of the nose and battery box I would call this nearly a rust free car. A quick repair of the front portion of nose failed to protect it from rust. 356s are double walled in the front and the rust is mainly is the front section of the nose The rear aft section of the nose is original with no damage front the minor nose bump at some point. All the door gaps are factory perfect. The car as been in no major accidents of any kind from my inspection. Good luck to the winner and please email us with questions. Thank you for stopping by.
