1972 Pontiac Catalina You are bidding on an original unrestored 1972 Catalina in nice condition that runs and drives excellent. This Cat only has 2 titled NJ owners and the 63,500 miles are actual. This is a great entry level classic car you can drive, enjoy and hit your local cruise nights with. It is a confident, comfortable and reliable car you can use everyday if you want. The body is in good original condition. It is original sheet metal with minimal flaws. There is some surface rust on the lower drivers fender and behind the driver’s quarter. Behind the passenger quarter is some rust developing but nothing horrible. The floors and frame is solid. The paint is original. A good buff will bring it up a bit but its not that bad the way it is. There are some usual scratches and chips as you would expect for a car 38 years old. The vinyl top is in nice shape with small minor bubbling near the rear window. I wouldn’t be to concerned with these. The original chrome and trim are in decent shape. The original interior is untouched and in remarkable shape. The only flaws are the front seat is in need of a new cover, the rear package shelf is faded and the carpet is a little discolored. The carpet itself is in nice shape so you might just be able to dye it. The rear seat is perfect. The door panels are original yet they look brand new. The dashboard is in perfect shape. All the hard to get stuff is in very nice shape. The original AM/FM radio still works. The factory A/C is still in place but is not working. It possibly needs a recharge. The car also has rear defrost and a remote drivers side mirror. The original 350 engine runs out great. It’s smooth and has excellent power to move this full size car. The automatic transmission shifts perfect. The power steering and power brakes are in great shape and work perfect. The suspension rides very well and goes down the road like a champion. This is a great car to drive and I personally drove it 20 miles on the highway at 70 mph in 96 degree heat and this car drove like a dream with no issues. Overall, it’s really a nice Catalina to buy, do the minor fixes and just have a lot of fun with the whole family. This car really grew on me and I hope it goes to a good home.
