This is a relist due to flake bidders, please DO NOT BID IF YOU DONT INTEND TO PAY FOR AND PICK UP THE CAR. Up for bid is a 1972 Datsun 240Z Convertible / Roadster Project or Parts Car. This a Factory five speed car and is also a low production number Canada Car. I purchased this car from a serious Z car collector. At one point this guy had 18 Z cars and this car was one of his rarest. Here are the facts: The Good: 1. Convertible / Roadster 2. Factory Five Speed 3. Racing Seats 4. Nice Wheels and Tires 5. Low Production Number 6. Ran Perfect when Parked about three years ago 7. Great Show Car Possibilities 8. Awesome After Market Stereo 9. Lots of work already done. 10. Low miles Car. The Bad: 1. The car will turn over but won't run. (I think it's the fuel pump). 2. Clutch and Brakes don't work. (I think the master cilinder and slave are frozen) 3. There is a bit of fust on the bottom of the doors a drivers side rear. 4. Quite a bit of work to finish the Speedster rear deck, but will be beautiful when finished. Thanks For Looking. A FEW THINGS THAT I FORGOT: 1. I THINK THERE IS HALF OF A KEY STUCK IN THE IGNITION, 2. THERE IS NO TOP INCLUDED IN AUCTION. 3. I HAVE A NEW AUDI A4 CONVERTABLE BASE RING (RETAILS FOR $895.00) AND LOTTS OF EXTRA PARTS THAT GO WITH THE CAR. THE PICTURE THAT SHOWS THE RUST AND DAMAGE ON THE DRIVERS SIDE REAR SHOULD ALSO SHOW THAT THERE IS T O N S OF BONDO. Q: Do you have the frt bumper &/or stock frt treatment for this car???Did the hit to the drivers rear Qtr spring the flip lid-or is that a photo illusion???What about rust in the chassis???Is the car a rust mess underneth???I could be VERY interested--HemiDon Aug-24-10 A: Hi Don, The front bumper and air dam didn't come with the car. Not sure what you mean about the drivers side. The car does have some rust on the bottom of the doors, drivers rear and there is a ton of bondo in many places as described in the listing. I havn't inspected the frame. The deck lid will need to be fitted and finished (obviously), it's actually a spare hood to my 95 Saleen and will make a lovely speedster style deck. Hope this helps. It was considered a race car in The US therefore not legal. Thanks Q: Your listing says convertible but I see no evidence of a top. Is it a convertible? And if so, hard or soft top? Any pictures of top or whats under rear deck? Aug-20-10 A: Hi There, I noticed that you bid on the car. First thanks for the bid, second my listing says Convertable / Roadster right now it's a roadster (no top) it can be made into a convertable. I do have the convertable base ring that goes to an Audi A4 convertable. It retails for $895.00 and is brand new, and is included in the auction.(I was going buy an A4 Top and make it fit, but no top is included in the auction). You may retract your bid if you wish.
