Vehicle Detail
This is a 1979 CB400T HAWK that has been taken down to the frame and built back up into a café racer. The mileage is around 4300. The frame has not been modified from stock in case anyone ever wanted to take this bike back to its original condition. I built this bike over the winter and have enjoyed it long enough. It’s time to sell it and start on the next one. Below is a list of things that have been done to complete this build. Custom Changes: • Custom paint (Dupont primer/base /clear - no rattle can here) • Custom fiberglass tail section (this is the third one that I have made for various bikes) • Integrated tail light. • Custom turn signals (aluminum not plastic junk). • Custom head light bucket with integrated instrument “flush mount”. (both will come with the bike, tach is currently installed) • Ignition and choke lever relocated. • Brand new MAC exhaust system. • Cross drilled front rotor. • Idiot cluster removed and replaced with LED’s • Top triple tree smoothed and bar mount has been relocated. • New handle bars installed. General Maintenance or Replacement: • Top end has been redone with new piston rings and gaskets. (Engine ran fine when I purchased the bike but had an oil leak at the cylinder base) • Valves have been adjusted. • New NGK plugs. • New clutch installed. • Carbs were dipped and thoroughly cleaned and adjusted. Air box is still installed and being used to retain reliability and ease of use with the CV carbs. • New tires and tubes. • New battery. • Polished front fork lowers • Polished engine cases • New throttle cables. • Brake fluid changed and caliper disassembled, cleaned, and greased with synthetic caliper grease. • Rear brake was disassembled, cleaned, and re assembled – shoes were in great shape. • Frame and other components were painted gloss black. This bike runs, rides, and shifts great. It needs absolutely nothing but someone to ride and enjoy it. Buyer is responsible for shipping. I can assist with having the bike picked up from my loading dock at work if needed. On Aug-30-10 at 14:04:59 PDT, seller added the following information: I WILL NOT SELL THIS BIKE TO AN INDIVIDUAL WITH (0) FEEDBACK. ALL ZERO FEEDBACK BIDS WILL BE REMOVED.
