For sale is my 1989 BMW 325i with a 5spd transmission. Runs and drives Excellent. This has been my daily driver for the past 6 months. I am a E30 enthusiast and this was my project car. I am now finished doing all the things I wanted to do to it and now I must move on to a new E30 project. Below are all the things I have done to it in the past 6 months. ENGINE The engine is the original M20 2.5L straight six that it came with. I first did the necessary maintenance like new timing belt, water pump, cam seal, crank seal, all the belts, valve cover gasket, and fuel pump, cap and rotor, and spark plugs. Then I did performance upgrades like long tube style headers, Eurosport performance 535is computer chip, 17.5lb injectors from a 1995 325is (M50). Those three upgrades made a real difference in performance. TRANSMISSION It has a original 5spd manual transmission. It goes into all the gears with no grinding or slipping issues. It has a shorter style shift knob. INTERIOR It has ultra rare European Recaro sport seats. These were only available in Europe as an upgrade to the original sports seats. I had the interior reupholstered in black leatherette with Alcantara gray perforated cloth. I then added rear headrests and brackets to the rear seat. Also a European option only. The interior is in excellent condition except for a couple of small cracks on the dash that I cover with a dash mat. PAINT AND BODY The body is in excellent shape with no major dents or scrapes. The car has its original factory paint except for the bumpers that I noticed were painted. California car with no rust or accidents. The paint is 21 years old and is still very glossy, but it's starting to show its age and has some scratches and dings that are hard to pick up with the camera. I was thinking of repainting it, but I liked that fact it still had the factory paint so I kept it the way it is. WHEELS AND TIRES I installed wheels from a 2000 BMW 740i that I had redrilled for the E30 lug pattern. They are 16x8 ET23 with new 205/50/16 tires. The tires have about 3000 miles put on them. ELECTRICAL AND ACCESSORIES I converted the A/C system to R134a refrigerant and blows very cold. I installed a Pioneer CD player with Aux. input upfront and Alpine speakers in the rear. I usually hook up my Droid phone and use Pandora radio. Both the power windows and mirrors work great and the sunroof is manual. EXHAUST I had the catalytic converter removed and installed a resonator in its place with a Magnaflow 18" muffler with 2.5" tubing. It took a couple of trial and errors to come to this combination. I wanted a exhaust that was sporty and more aggressive sounding, but with out being excessively loud and annoying or droney. It really sounds great above 4000 rpm. SUSPENSION AND BRAKES I installed Suspension Techniques Speedtech lowering springs with Bilstein sport shocks upfront. The car had some KYB shocks in the rear already so I decided to leave those. The drop was 2.4" in the front and 2.0" rear. I had the rear fender lips rolled and sometimes the rear tires will rub just a tiny bit if you have passengers in the back or accelerate full throttle. I installed new brake pads and sensors with the all the rotors resurfaced. Being sold at no reserve and will sell to the highest bidder. No buy now price sorry! Bid what you can afford.
