Vehicle Detail

Here it is. This truck is a 1996 Chevy S-10 ZR2. It is being sold AS-IS WHERE-IS. Let's agree I have said that five times in this ad. I am the original owner. I drove this truck all over the State of Ohio for about three years. That is where all of the miles came from. I bought a new truck in 2001 and let my dad drive it daily to work. He put about 30k miles on it. Now it has just sat for several years since my dad retired. I am tired of paying insurance on it while it sits. Once again, this is a 14 year old truck with over 200k miles so it ain't perfect. There is rust on the extended cab panels, driver's side door, and above the right rear wheel well (see pics). The windshield wipers do not work but I believe it only needs a new fuse or box. I have fixed this before, cheap and easy. The rear view mirror needs put back up. I bought the kit and left it inside the truck and the adhesive dried up. What can I say, I'm an idiot. The brakes work but should be checked. The A/C needs charged and must have a leak b/c I have to charge it every year. The dirver's side seat sags a little but not bad. The lever to adjust the backrest is broken. The right rear tire has a slow leak. Now for the positive - The truck drives fine, no smoke. It has always had a bedliner and I believe the bed is solid. all electircal items works fine- windows, locks, radio and cd. Floorboards are solid. Interior not too bad given the age. Small seats in the "extended cab" are fine due to non-use. The spare tire has never been dropped and matches the four on the truck. The 4WD worked the last time it was engaged. Here's the deal. Once again this truck is as-is where-is. If you drive it off the farm and it lasts ten more years and another 100k miles good for you. If you drive it off and the engine blows as soon as the fourth wheel hits the road, oh well. In my opinion, this truck would be great for a young kid to learn to drive or for a farm truck to haul wood or 4-wheel. Maybe even a short daily driver if someone can work on it and fix the little things or if they are not bothered by cosmetics. That is what my dad did with it - 5 miles each way to work. Great for the winter. Thanks for your interest.
