1979 Oak Green with Cork interior 911SC - has been with me for 3 years and I have put approximately 10 miles on it as I have eight additional 911's that have kept me very busy. This Southern car (as in no salt on the roads here) has 117,753 miles driven during the past 32 years and it shows its' history with character. Original paint, engine, rust free underneath and it runs well. The car was purchased in Columbia SC ( I have the original window sticker) and was taken to Charleston SC where it took up residence for the next 21 years accumulating 110,000 miles. In 2000 the owners best friend bought the Porsche for his wife on her Birthday. She put approximately 7,500 miles on the car in the following 6 years until it was parked in their garage with a slipping clutch. There it remained until I bought the car in 2008. Since then I have installed a new clutch and put an MSD ignition kit on the car. I have not driven the car on the road only driving it around the neighborhood in order to keep it in proper running order and to keep the engine and transmission seals flexible. The car does not drip any oil and it starts immediately with no smoke. I just invested over $2,000 in sprucing up the interior - new German seat covers, renovated the Targa top, recovered the rear seat bottoms and replaced carpeting that was aging. The car even has the sticker that says - unleaded fuel only - still affixed to the front fender next to the filler door and has the small decal on the fuel guage that specifies unleaded fuel. As in any 32 year old car there are signs of use and imperfections in the paint. The lower front valence has paint chips and the right rear fender has some small (little finger size) dents. An aluminum car ramp fell over in the garage and came to rest on the fender - if you look closely at the pictures you will see the small dents - I could have the dents removed by the local dent doctor but it is all part of the history of the car so I havent contacted them.. There is no evidence of any previous accidents. The car is located at my house in Hilton Head SC which is 12 miles North of the International Port of Savannah Ga.
