Vehicle Detail
1984 Buick Regal Pro Street / Race CarOver $18,000 invested. The trunk identification sticker shows it used to be a WH-1. Clean Oregon Title and new Plates. Street legal but with no wiper motor or wiper arms. There is a fiberglass 7" cowl that goes with the car along with the stock turbo hood. I also am going to throw in a pair of fiberglass front fenders. Rear Chassis The rear frame section was cut out and the Art Morrison Pro 4 link rear half installed. The rear end is a reinforced and narrowed 9” with a Strange center section. Moser 35 spline axles were used along with a gear ratio of 4:56. QA1 coil overs provide the shock and spring for the back half of the car.Wilwood Discs and rotors are used for the rear braking. 15X14 Centerline Convo Pros and Mickey Thompson 31-18.50X15 sportsman tires are on the rear. The rear tubs are mocked in and the tin work on the rear half of the car needs to be finished. A custom built 20 gallon fuel cell is in the back along with the battery on one side and the fuel pump and filter on the other. Transmission The transmission is a Turbo 400 with a manual reverse valve body. The stall converter is 3800 since we decided to make it into a Pro-Street. There is a trans brake, but it is not wired up. The transmission case that surrounds the torque converter was cracked and rewelded and works fine. The driveline and u-joints are brand new. Interior & Front Chassis The interior has a custom built dash (since the factory one was cut out) with Autometer gauges and Tachometer. The seats are Recaro. Competition shoulder / lap belts go with the car and are not installed yet. Full roll cage was also installed to help stiffen the chassis. Door bars are needed yet to complete the cage. Aluminum body mounts are used throughout. The front suspension is all stock down to the factory rotors and power steering linkage.A Wilwood twin master cylinder is used. We also brought back the power windows and door locks. Engine The engine is a BBC with a displacement of 468 cubic inches. The block is a Gen V 4 bolt with a 2 piece rear main seal. The crankshaft is a Scat. Connecting rods are the H-beam style with ARP fasteners. The compression ratio is 13.5-1. The cylinder heads are iron Merlin 111's with 2.30 intake and 1.90 exhaust. The camshaft is a Comp Cams mechanical roller with .740 lift. The rocker arms are also Comp Cams. A stud girdle was also used. Intake is a Weiand Team G and modified 1050 CFM Dominator. Ignition is MSD distributor and MSD 6A with rev limiter. 3000 CFM electric fan is used for cooling along with a custom built 4 core radiator. March billet pulley system is used. Hooker super competition headers are used and Moroso spiro flows are the mufflers with 3" tubing and H-pipe. Over $10,000 in the engine and electronics alone. Lights and turn signals all work. The steering column is a non-tilt out of a mid 70’S Camaro. This car has been on the street and a couple of the initial videos can be seen at YOUTUBE under user name gofast40972. The combination has less than 1/8 mile on it. What it needs: paint, very minimal body work, front floorboards to firewall connected, rear tin work, headliner, arm pads for the door panels and fuel lines for competition use (used 1/2 rubber since I couldn't wait to drive it). The bumpers are all powder coated black and are on the car. It is a super fun car to drive and the throttle response is like a 44 magnum. Runs on racing fuel. I have this car for sale locally and will end this auction if it sells. This is a NO RESERVE auction. A Deposit of $1000.00 is due 48 hours after end of auction, balance due in 7 days. Title transfer and change of possession occurs only after all funds are cleared to seller's account. Winning bidder will be responsible for all transportation arrangements and expenses.
