Vehicle Detail

Up for bid is a rare find in today’s market of antique automobiles, This is a 1934 Packard model 1100 strait eight deluxe sedan that is the “2nd oldest” ownership of a 1934 Packard in the Packard registry today and has been in the same family since 1936 till now and the person who buys this beautiful car will be the 3rd owner as I left the title clear so their name will be next. There is only one other that still is in the original family since new. This beautiful Packard was purchased new in Springfield Massachusetts and was delivered on October 1934 and less than two years later was sold to the owner I purchased the car from. What is great about this car is the fact that everything is so crisp and in wonderful condition and was cared for its entire life and stored in a heated building on their property. This car has the original keys and locks throughout including the side mount tire locks, the original side mount Packard script mirrors that have the factory locks and the locking gas cap. This car was ordered as you see it in the original Packard bronze color with all the extras including the side mount wheels and factory metal covers and mirrors, luggage rack, stone guard, Packard goddess hood ornament, bijar lubrication, Packard heater, 4 position brake adjustment, original jack and other factory items including the owners manual etc. Everything you see here was on this car new from what I was told. The car has 97,169 miles since new. The family did a complete ground up professional detailed restoration some years ago and as you can see from the many detailed pictures I have here inside and out that this car still is beautiful today. The mechanics of the car are the best I have seen in the many Packard’s I have owned over the years and performs like a new car both in braking and steering and drives down the road like a two year old car. This Packard will make the ultimate tour car. I have just had the entire car gone over by one of the best Packard restorers in the country including a tune up and detailing and also a compression test done and it passed with flying colors with very good compression in each cylinder and all you have to do is depress the gas down once and hit the starter button and away she goes. This motor is whisper quiet as is the transmission shifting etc. Now as far as all the cosmetics , the chrome throughout is beautiful and strong, the interior is beautiful and fresh with no signs of soiling as are the rugs and what I believe to be a set of original rubber Packard mats as well. The headliner is also super with just two small repairs done with the same material, nothing to take away as it is a perfect match using the same material. All the instruments are crisp and beautiful as one would expect to find on a one ownership car pampered like this. All the glass is perfect and all the windows operate like new. The roof material is also excellent. The red wire wheels are stunning and the wide white wall tires have little use to them and are as new. The Packard bronze paint still shows great throughout with some minor spots , mostly in the front fenders if you look , and the best way to describe it is like perhaps dust pimples. Now I tried taking these out in spots and it seemed to come off and then I compounded the area after and it looked great, I am going further as we speak and get most of it out if I can. In any event the car has such a nice finish overall that you don’t see this really and as you can see from the many pictures I took the car is beautiful. I just like to tell it as I see it because pictures can sometimes mislead a person and I am a hobbyist not a dealer and love my cars as you do. Well I am going on but I think you can get the idea, this is a very special Packard and someone is going to get a wonderful car here. Best of luck to all. Please note that I will be away from Friday the 27th and will return on Sunday the 29th but I will try and check on my emails while I’m away these couple of days, my phone number is here below as well. I accept all checks, money orders and credit cards including Pay-Pal, personal checks must clear my bank before I can let the car go. A deposit from the winning bidder of $ 1000.00 will hold the car till you can come and see or have the car picked up and if this car is not as described in this add I will refund your deposit back to you in full 100% No Questions Asked. I can arrange shipping for you door to door if you wish and will be more than happy to accommodate you in any way to make buying your car a safe and easy transaction. Here are some examples; I use Passport Transport for many of my cars and have been very happy over the years.
