1967 Volvo 122 Wagon with original paint, and black California license plates. Solid rust-free Wagon that runs and drives well. Excellent basis for restoration, or for daily use as retro-stylish transportation. Engine hits on all cylinders and seems sound, transmission shifts fine. Plenty of extra parts. I may be biased (this is the exact model my parents were driving when I was born) but I think these early Volvo wagons are undervalued classics that will become increasingly desirable and valuable over time. It is the original utilitarian cruiser: A safe, no-nonsense, reliable wagon that holds the entire family; or all your surf equipment; or all your mountain climbing gear; or ..... whatever. When I was four years old, one afternoon my father was driving us through a canyon in the Berkeley Hills, and some kids above were shooting cars with a rifle: One of their bullets hit the rear passenger door where my two-year old brother was sitting, and the bullet ricocheted off the thick Volvo metal. If we were in most any car produced today, he would have likely been hit, maybe killed. Just another footnote in lore of Volvo's legendary safety. Thanks for looking.
