I have been driving this car daily to and from work for the last three years, however I am now moving to the city where I cannot afford to keep this car. I really had a good time driving this car over the years and I’m sad that I have to let her go. The engine runs very smooth, burning very little oil. There is no significant rust on the body. There are some spots with paint faded out as seen on the pictures. The driver side mirror is cracked but it does work. All the spark plugs, cables and distributor were changed about 1 ½ years ago. It comes with original manual. I replaced the original TRX tires that came with the car (still one left in the trunk as a spare) because they were ridiculously expensive, due to the halt in production by Michelin. The rims on the car now are from a 1997 528i and it’s very easy to find affordable tires for this size. Tires on the car still have plenty of tread. One cap on the front right tire is missing. I installed a band new replacement muffler from the catalytic converter back, about 8 months. There is no interior cover for the moon roof. All the power windows work, along with the power moon roof, mirrors, antenna, door locks, and seats. The only seat that doesn’t totally work is the passenger seat, where the tilt for the back of the seat doesn’t work, the cord popped out, should be an easy fix. The steering is a bit loose due to worn out bushings, also an easy fix. The transmission slips a bit and leaks a bit under the car, at least that’s what I think is leaking. The odometer has stopped working about six months ago and I have lost count of the miles from there, probably around 5k. The ABS brakes don’t work; I had to disconnect them because there was a short causing the battery to discharge. Due to this the check light goes off but shuts off once the break is pressed. The A/C needs a little work, does not blow cold air. The blower only blows on high, no setting in between works. Rear defroster works. All lights work minus one fog that burned out recently. The onboard trip computer is fully functional but the light has to be replaced. I took the original radio out and replaced it with a Kenwood, include a CD player and AUX in jack for your iPod and remote. I replaced the back speakers with brand new SONY speakers about a year ago. The passenger visor is missing the clip so it hangs off the roof by about an inch. The back seats are in great condition, really not used much. There are some cracks in the front dashboard. It comes with two keys. This car is ready to be driven as is. Perfect car if you want to some work to it or for a full restoration. Cons -ABS doesn't work -transmission slips a little from 2nd to 3rd and leaks fluid. - odometer just stopped working -loose steering -AC doesn't work.
