Vehicle Detail

Here is my 1972 Mercury Colony Park station wagon with a 429 V8, automatic transmission, third row center-facing, power steering, brakes, windows, front seat, tilt wheel and tailgate window. It has a little over 98K miles, runs really well, drives nice and tracks straight. Some of the new parts installed over the past year include reupholstered front and second row seats, new carpet, insulation, seat belts, front and back brakes, rear wheel cylinder, heater core, power steering hoses, carburetor, heater hoses, all four shocks, exhaust, tires, battery and auxiliary gauges. The exterior has a nice shine and is presentable, however there are several chips and blemishes. There is very little rust on the car which are about the size of a half-dollar on each lower door corner. The car is easily passed State inspection and has been a weekly driver for me when running errands like taking the dog to the park, trips to Home Depot, Target.... Like any car at this price, there are some problems, however I believe they are minor. The power windows in the second row do not operate however the motor turns. The power door locks don't work however the lock knobs do function manually on each door, the roof rack got damaged last year and was removed and just recently, the turn signal arm needs to be held down when turning left. My wagon starts right up each time even on the coldest and hottest days. This is an excellent car to drive and enjoy without having to put any money into it. It can easily be used as a tow vehicle as it has a hitch and air shocks, to run errands like I use it, or to restore to a nicer condition. This is, by far, a unique cruiser that always seems to get nice comments where ever I go. UPDATE (8/21/10): As an update the condition of the body and any missing parts, there is a crease in the drivers side front fender and the Mercury emblem is missing from the steering wheel horn ring. Also, the tailgate moulding is missing.
