1983 Honda Nighthawk

I am the second owner of this 1983 Nighthawk with 4836 miles. I put on ½ those miles in the last two years. The bike came from a basement of an estate for 20 year!. The original owner bought it from Popoli’s Honda of Westfield, Ma. I have all the paperwork and receipts. I have the original owners manual and full shop manual. I guaranteed the mileage to be accurate. The speedometer now reads 4869 miles. The paint is not perfect but for a 1983 it’s very good (some small scratches came while in storage).The tank had a touched up spot (he must of dropped brake fluid or something). I took a picture of it (the last picture down) but it really didn't show up. It's not that big anyways. The inside of the tank is clean and has no rust. The Cobra seat replaced the original seat back in 1983 (I have the Cobra brochure). The seat is perfect. I never received the original Honda seat. The sissy bar has a few small rust spots along the base but overall is in very good shape. The seat height is about 30". I have a 30 inch inseam and I can sit flat footed with work boots. The original owner was very safety conscious and put on some big tail lights, extra loud horns, and the turn signals have a beeper in case you forget to turn them back. They are all very handy but could be taken off. The exhaust pipes are in near perfect condition. You won't find to many around in this shape. Since I’ve had it I replaced the front tire, replaced the battery, replaced the fork seals, and replaced the seal in the clutch slave cylinder. I had the carbs cleaned and synced. I changed the oil and filter 3 times. I added the Slipstreamer windshield. The bike rides perfect. All gauges and lights work as they should. This bike is shaft drive and virtually maintenance free.
