this is a 1964 mercury comet 404 2 door sedan with post. not a hardtop with no post. i have had this car for at least 15 years,maybe more. this car came with 2 of everthing, including doors,hoods,trunk lid, windshield, side glass,rear glass,and most chrome. no engine or transmission. at some point,someone cut the floor,and put a 4 speed in. this is a true v8 car. i'm not sure if the doors on the car are the original,or if the spare doors were on the car originally. therefore,i'm not sure which codes to decode,as the tag for options is on the door. the car has a little rust in the quarters above the wheels. i tried to photograph this. i have over 40 pictures. and i will gladly photo any area you desire. i now live in florida,but the car is in colorado. time to let all my projects go. i would prefer to sell locally. any shipping is up to the buyer. cash upon delivery works. any other forms of payment considered. please ask questions. i'm sure i forgot something. look at pictures closely. i tried to show everything. bucket seats are not original,and i'm not sure,but i don't think i ever got a bench seat for it. i believe everything is there,except engine and trans. On Aug-09-10 at 08:09:19 PDT, seller added the following information: NO ENGINE OR TRANSMISSION On Aug-13-10 at 15:57:07 PDT, seller added the following information: hello all. i got the spare doors,hood and trunk lid out today. the fender tag on the car is: 4H11F574074. this matches the data tag that is on the door in storage. that data tag is as follows: 62B V 16 27C 51 5 1 . the data tag on the door that is mounted on the car is: 4H11F556361 and 62B A 75 10B 51 6 6 . i believe the car was originally yellow with black interior. at some point it had a pretty good paint job in turquoise as the inside of the trunk and door jambs are that color. i hope this helps those people interested in the data plate. for clarity's sake---ebay cancelled the auction. i had in the description, cash as payment. the good people at ebay were afraid someone might interpret that as being ok to send cash through the mail. never send cash through the mail. there are just too many instances of cash being taken out of the mail. so cash upon delivery of the car. i am sorry for the confusion,and apologise to the bidders. thanks and good luck--doug 303 818 6790
