Up for sale is this hard to come by Mitsubishi Eclipse Spyder GS. This beautiful convertible runs and drives like new; I've had vehicles that feel old and this isn't one of them! The 4G4 engine still feels like a new motor, with plenty of power to spare at all speeds. It's not turbo charged but it sure is fast. This car is equipped with power windows, a power top, cruise control, rear defroster, ice-cold A/C, great heating, a Kenwood CD played (with Aux. input), a cold air intake, a strut tower bar (for improved cornering), clear marker lights, Euro style tail lights, and a Prestige car alarm/starter by Audiovox. In addition to the alarm, all of the automotive glass has been etched with the VIN numbers (great features and usually represents good savings on insurance). We are the 2nd owners of this vehicle, and it has been my wife's daily driver since it was a little over 20,000 miles old. The car drives comfortably and safely all year round. I am selling it with a full set of black steel rims and winter Icegrip tires (two of the winter tires will need replacing). The summer tires are almost brand new and the rims look great. This car has been well cared for and maintained. The oil has been changed with synthetic oil and the routine maintenance has always been performed on schedule. The car basically has an entirely new front end, with the drive axles and CV joints being less than a year old. Its water pump and alternator belts are around 1 year old and the engine timing belt was replaced about 2 years ago. As you can see from the photos, I'll be throwing in the maintenance manual with the sale. Overall, I'd say that this car is in great condition (especially for an 11 year old vehicle). It does show the normal signs of use (small paint chips and dents), but there aren't even any signs of body rust. The only real issues are common ones to this entire model line. First, the door sills have a nice drip pattern on them (hidden when the doors are closed) thanks to Mitsubishi's decision to seal the door panels with a black butyl substance which softens and runs in the heat. Second, the top will drip from the front channel in heavy rain; even brand new Eclipse soft tops will leak (thanks to the construction of the framework). We keep it garaged most of the year so the top is an original. The seams around the windows are starting to deteriorate but there are no tears; not a big deal considering that you can get nice vinyl replacement tops on E-Bay for under $500. Other than those expected problems, there is a faulty temp. gauge (all other gauges work just fine and the thermostat functions perfectly). Also, we installed white glowing gauge faces which have begun to flicker (not a necessary replacement but like the temp. gauge, it's inconvenient). Honestly, we hate to see this beautiful head-turner go; we'll be moving soon and this car lost the coin-toss to my family sized ride. If you're looking for a fun and dependable convertible, our loss is your gain. I have the clean title in hand; the car is inspected and ready to roll. There is no reserve price.
