auction is for rare 1972 3/4 ton chevy longhorn pickup with 292 six cylinder and 4 speed trans. this pickup belonged to a friend who recently passed away. he spent most of the winter in the south, but while he was home(hammond, il) he drove this pickupmost everyday. truck has 131,635 miles. this is arare longhorn model-(bed is extra long(11"). truck has lt265-16 on the front with less than 1000 miles-rears are 7.50-16lt mud and snow with 1/2 tread. has nice hood, top and grille. drivers door is cracked around top hinge-could be fixed but replacing with new door would be easiest. drivers side rocker is good. both the passenger side rocker and door bottom will need fixed. both front fenders have some rust. wheel wells on bed have a little rust, but inside of bed looks good. bed floor is just boards, no metal strips. missing tailgate trim and gate is a little bowed. has heavy rear bumper and hitch. this is a great old work truck. previous owner befroe my buddy said he used to to haul wood and he says it has a locking rear end, would go places mosy truck couldn't. if u have more questions contact one of the sons-John 217-417-4112. john work differnt hours so leave him a message and he will return your call. runs great and drives out good, great work truck and will last a long time.
