VERY RARE 1984 INTERCEPTOR VF1000F! As you can see from the pictures this bike is all together and looks great! It is not currently running but it can be made to run if put in the right hands. It could also be used as a parts bike. This bike was given to me in 2003 by one of my best friends after it developed a knock in the motor and he didn't want to fool with it. I took the heads off and thought I found the problem by fixing a cam bearing. After putting it back together, I promptly spun a rod bearing. I tore down the motor again, ground the crank and installed new bearings. While I had the motor apart I installed an aftermarket oil by-pass kit that is supposed to provide a better oil supply to the cam bearings. After I put everything back together, I got stuck chasing a gremlin. My rebuild seemed solid and I rode the bike quite a bit trying to trouble shoot the problem. It appeared that I had one cylinder that was firing only intermittently. Eventually, I gave up and the bike has been sitting in my garage ever since. I have clear Illinois title in my name.
