This 242 is one of 500 made US Special Edition "Flathood". Info regarding the Flathood at www.flathood.saliv8.com Purchased in 1992 with 123,000 miles. Since we owned this car it has always been garage kept. The car was not used as a daily driver. Mainly driven on trips and went to many Volvo car meets. Interior is blue velour and is in excellent clean condition. All instruments and controls in working order. A couple cracks in dash top, but has a dash cover. Engine manual 5-speed overdrive and clean no existing problems. Exterior no rust found. A couple of very minor marks (one by trunk, on driver/passenger side of car and a small ding in hood). Paint is original. Overall beautiful condition. Tires are Pirelli 15" radial and have good tread. Rims are Volvo and stock for this 242GLT. There are a few Volvo accessories added: headlight covers, sunroof wind deflector, hood vent cover, window deflectors, Volvo mudflaps front/back and RSport steering wheel. Back and rear windows are tinted. Vehicle has NJ historic license plates. The 242 runs and drives excellent and well worth a good Volvo enthusiast home. Any additional questions are welcome.
