This is a Fun to drive Great looking 1969 Dodge Charger. It is Complete and ready to drive anywhere. This is a No Reseve Listing,The General will be sold to the highest Bidder! The General started its Mopar life as a well optioned Dodge Charger . It was an air conditioned car with a 318 and an Automatic. When we got the Charger it had been neglected for quite a few years and needed a lot of work . We started by removing all of the old paint and rust. The Floorpans were all replaced with new ones and the trunk pan was repaired with the POR-15 system. All of the frame rails are solid . After that it went to the body shop to repair the dents and get a new coat of Paint ( Dupont base coat clear coat Corvette Flame Red http://www.hazzardretreat.com/buildageneral.asp#paint ) After the paint we installed a 1970 383 HP Motor and a Fresh 727 automatic transmission. At this time The General Got all new hoses, Belts, gaskets, fuel pump , Water pump, Double row timing chain and a factory rebuilt Holly Carburetor. The motor runs strong and sounds Great and has no oil leaks. It sometimes smokes a bit on start up I think it may need valve Guides. This motor always starts. We also installed a set of Headers and all new exhaust with Glass pack mufflers. Inside all of the upholstery was replaced . We installed new carpet , Headliner and door panels. The Charger still has it's original Mopar radio ( I am not sure if it works , It looks good ) Also most of the original Air conditioning parts are still in the car and I am sure the General could again have working AC with a bit of time and effort. The General has the Wolo#430 air horn, I have installed 2 of them and I am not pleased with the sound. I will include both sets with the Car. The Wipers Work The tires are 255-60 15 in front ( new ) and 275-60-15 in rear . The rims were as close as I could find to real Vector rims. The Brakes have been serviced Hoses were replaced as necessary and there was a new Master cylinder installed . The Head lights, Tail lights and turn signals all work. The headlight doors open and close when the lights are turned on and off. The Gas Gauge and ammeter work , I think the temp gauge and oil gauge need new senders. We also installed a new American made gas tank and sending unit. Overall this is a good driving ,Fun to drive Charger with a lot of Power. Everywhere it goes it draws a crowd. It still needs a few finishing touches or details, But it is running and driving and is Street Legal.
