Vehicle Detail
Up for auction is my 1969 Dodge Charger Project. This was an Oklahoma barn find that had been sitting on cinder blocks for almost 30 years. I have the title in my name and current Oklahoma Black Tag (No insurance). 383, Auto, P/S and Air Condition. The motor codes out as a 1969 383 but I don’t know if it is the original and it isn’t free. Black interior with buddy bench and rally gauges. Fender tag is on the car (see pics). All the glass is in good condition and all the trim is there. The driver side rear window seal will need some work, (see pics). The frame rails look good (see pics) but the trunk pan and floor boards will need patching or replacement. Drum brakes all the way around. This is a great car to start a restoration and all the parts are there. Sold as is, it needs a total restoration inside and out. Buyer to pay all shipping cost. The car will not be released until all funds cleared. A deposit of $500.00 is due within 24 hours of the auction’s end and the balance is due within 10 days from the end date of the auction. You can call me at 918-978-0071. Thanks for looking and happy bidding. Being that its a non-vinyl top car is quite rare on any 1969 Charger as most of them that were built had vinyl tops from the factory. The 1969 383 motor currently in the car has the ID pad there above the oil pan but has no VIN# stamped in it. It is a real deal 1969 non-HP "E383" with a casting date of 7/25/68. Assembly date on the motor is 8/14/68 and the build date on the car is 8/7/68 or 9/7/68 so there is a chance this might be the original motor but since the VIN# is not stamped in the motor then maybe not. The passenger's side exhaust manifold has a casting date of 8/12/68 and the driver's side has a casting date of 8/6/68 on it. These dates are so close together so this could be the original motor but there is no proof as far as any VIN#'s go. The big block 727 transmission is unstamped with no VIN# pad on it. (Possibly not the original #'s matching tranny to this car and is a later model replacement unit) This 1969 Charger still has the original 1969 8 3/4 rearend in it.Core support and trunk lid lip body VIN# stampings match the dash VIN and the original fender tag. Stampings are as follows: Core Support VIN#: B9203661 & Trunk Lid Lip VIN#: B9203661. This is also a very early built 1969 Charger as it has the black door knobs on the outside door handles and has low back bucket seats with no headrests which are tell tell signs of the car being a very early built 1969 car. This 1969 Charger still has the original wheel covers in the trunk which means this car had 14 inch steel wheels from the factory with the Dodge wheels covers attached. This car still retains its original 1969 383 26 inch radiator and 1969 383 clutch fan but the original fan shroud is missing. This car is a column shift car with the buddy seat optionOn Aug-16-10 at 14:12:11 PDT, seller added the following information:*****Last notable thing on this car***** This is a real deal A35 trailer towing packaged 1969 Dodge Charger with the factory installed trailer hitch in back. Not very many 1969 Dodge Chargers were optioned with this. The following is part of the A35 trailer towing package that this car has from the factory: ?Max cool option ?HD perf axle ratio 3.23 ?HD suspension F & R ?HD brakes ?Wide rims (5.5JK) ?Variable load turn-signal flasher ?HD stop-lamp switch
