Vehicle Detail
Mileage is original. Frame is as strong as an ox. Cab floor pans are in need of repair, but frame and support braces are good. Doors close fairly good and bottoms are solid with the drive's door piece needing repair. An extra door is in the bed(for metal needs). The bed itself is very rust clean. This includes the tailgate. Bumpers are nice. I had a lifelong antique car welder/body repair man look over the truck. He said it is in very good condition and better than most Studebakers he has seen over the years (not a hard project). Windshield and door glass is good. The driver window crank works but the glass is down in door, off push up track. Passenger window rolls good. Vent windows look good. Starts easy, runs excellent; I would rebuild the carburetor in the future. Clutch is good and it shifts good. The brakes were working but need pumping up (good for transport loading). New brake lines have been installed. New wheel cylinders will be needed and are at Advance Auto or auto zone for $28.99 each. The exhaust system looks good for a time without replacement need. Has lots of power/acceleration and idles good(VIN plate says it is 95HP @4300). The temperature and gas gauge work. Original radio works(tubes have to warm up). All lights (including low/high beam) accept directionals. Not sure about brake and dash. Heater blower motor and windshield wipers work, also. Also, four original Stude hubcaps as shown. Will need tires (wide whites would make for a nice look). Truck will be functional for transport loading (brakes fixed for that). Has a two piece sliding/clamping rear window (Looks like it is original). The headliner pattern is there; sunvisors at least there. 904-260-6529 See Studebakerparts.com for interest. Has new Electric fuel pump by-passing mechanical pump(is pulling gas from original gas tank).
