This 1977 ElCamino Classic was purchased new by my grandfather from McNew Chevrolet in Lindsborg Kansas on January 3, 1977. He retired from the oil fields later that year and sold the nearly new vehicle to my father living in Phoenix Arizona. Dad used the ElCamino for daily transportation until retiring in 2002, when he had frame-on rebuild completed. Since the work was completed in 2002, the El Camino has been garaged and only driven 9,000 miles. I fondly refer to her as "Black Beauty"! · Body work to better than new standard · DuPont Jet Black paint · Black vinyl top · Black interior · Re-chromed or new bright work · Sprayed bed liner The engine is a 350 ci V-8 with 350 automatic transmission with all matching numbers. Dad had the carburetor and distributor rebuilt, new heater hoses, new belts, new brakes; front and rear, new exhaust system, new timing chain and all oil leaks repaired. When he was unable to drive, he gave the ElCamino to a friend who installed a Viper remote start with security system and an in-Dash AM/FM Stereo with built-in 3” LCD monitor with rear-view camera. His friend had the ElCamino for only about one year before my Dad passed away. After my Dad passed away, I purchased the ElCamino back and had the rear differential serviced, cooling system flushed, replaced the air conditioner compressor and converted the system to R-134 refrigerant. This is a VERY clean and highly collectable car.
