Low Reserve, Bid Now! Priced to SELL! Many pictures are loading, please be patient. Don't hesitate to call or email if you have any questions! This is the best one out there! Yes, the ad is long, but you won't regret reading it! Read the ad, look at the pictures and you'll see why! Your search for you're ideal GMC Pickup Truck ends here! 1956 GMC Pickup Truck Original, 2nd Owner (Since 1959!), Unrestored, Survivor Truck from San Antonio, Texas! Beautiful Condition! Original 270 Cubic Inch, 130 Horsepower 6 Cylinder Engine! Manual Transmission! CLEAN TEXAS TITLE! This is the one you have been waiting for! Here is a very rare opportunity to get yourself a very hard to find, and unique truck. I've looked all over the internet, and the only 1955-1956 trucks I've been able to find are fully restored or completely rusted out. There doesn't appear to be anything out there that's still in its original, untouched condition to where an owner can decide for themselves what they would like to do! This really is a once in a lifetime opportunity! This isn't your usual barn find. This truck was acquired from it's second owner. What's so special about a truck being a second owner? It might as well be a one owner truck because the second owner had owned the truck since 1959! Another thing that's special is that the truck has spent its entire life right here in San Antonio, Texas! When we acquired the truck from its owner, we picked it up right from the address its been registered to since 1959! The truck having been here in San Antonio, Texas its whole life means that the frame and related parts are COMPLETELY RUST FREE! There was one small rust spot on the driver's fender pictured below, but if it wasn't for that minor, completely repairable spot this truck wouldn't have a spec of rust on it! That's nearly impossible to find on an unrestored truck of this age. How many restored vehicles have you seen where the first thing they tell you was done during restoration was "replaceing the floor pan"? Not this one! You've got the original floor pan and it's rust free and good to go! This truck has had the same owner since 1959, and was driven actively until 1986 when after 27 years of service he parked it. You're getting the original engine and transmission with this truck. Unfortunately, the truck as you can imagine is not running right now. The original engine would need some mechanical to get it going again. The push rods were removed from the engine when we recieved the truck, but we have not gone far into figuring out the exact problem with the motor. It's the original motor! Working on these engines is not rocket science, and theres plenty of room to get around in there for someone knowledgeable. In fact you could probably drive the truck around just how it is if the motor was fixed, but a 1956 model truck that's completely intact like this should be given the treatment it deserves and restored into a show winner! There's so few of these left, and none that I've ever seen that's completely intact like this one is! Well how much? You might ask. I'm listing the truck with the intention to sell it. Although I won't disclose the reserve, it's set reasonably. I realize that it will take a lot of hard work to restore this truck into a winner, but by the same token this truck isn't sitting in a field with a tree growing through the hood either. You'd spend a lot of time and thousands of dollars trying to round up all the parts that are complete and intact with this truck, and even then you don't have an all original body, engine, and transmission and you surely don't have a clean cut ownership history like this truck offers. It's like a clean canvas for an artist. You have everything you need. Instead of buying someone else's restoration you can decide how you want this truck to be restored! By restoration standards, this truck really isn't a tough job as you can see. It's priced accordingly. With these trucks disappearing from the earth slowly one truck at a time, its safe to say this may be your last chance to get a quality 1956 GMC Pickup Truck that's this good! Don't miss your opportunity to own this beautiful truck! You will not be disappointed! Bid early and follow the auction to the end, don't let another bidder with a couple of quick clicks of the mouse in the final minutes of the auction take your dream truck away from you! Don't settle for second best! Get the truck you have always dreamed of owning! Don't let this wonderful opportunity pass you by! Don't hesitate to email us using the "Contact" link on the auction page above or by phone at 210-853-2448 if you have any other questions!. An original 1956 GMC Pickup truck! These front ends are really something! They knew how to make trucks in the 50s! It doesn't look like much now, but I've never seen a completely intact truck like this! The body is completely straight! No damage at all to it! You're not repairing dents and doing body work with this truck! The owner took care of it! Look at the top sides of the bed where the metal curls off. No dings! Even the original tail gate isn't beat up! How much better could it get for an all original truck? We didn't see any dings or dents in this beauty! All the trim is intact! It really is a great opportunity! The truck had been repainted before. After all it is 55 years old! The roof doesn't have any dings or dents in it! The hood still looks fantastic! If it wasn't for this I could say the truck was completely, 100% rust free. A tiny, tiny bit of surface rust on the hood and driver's fender. This can be fixed very easily. You gotta love the heavy duty truck tires! When you bought a truck in 1956 you bought it to work! Just look at that tail gate! It's almost perfect! Keep in mind the back is completely original, so the rear planks will need to be replaced. The truck wasn't beat up or worked hard as you can tell. I've seen plenty of trucks where both sides of the bed and the tail gate are completely beat up! Not this one! It really is nice back here! You get an auxiliary fuel tank! You could really go far in this truck with this extra tank! I can't get enough of how nice this truck is all the way around! All the trim survives! The manufacturers plate is intact. This is a model 102 which is a 123 1/4" wheelbase made in Pontiac, Michigan, USA. It's all original in here too! That's the original interior! It isn't at all bad considering its 55 years old! No rust through, body completely intact! Here's the passenger door! Original stereo! Most of the original gauges remain! Under the hood, as you'd expect, is also untouched and original! This is the original 270 cubic inch 6-cylinder engine! You get it all! It's all original and all there! I wouldn't have it any other way! How does the underneath look? See for yourself! As we said the truck is from San Antonio, Texas. It's been here its whole life! It's not rusted! This really is a rare find! Last registered in 1988. Soon to be back on the road for one lucky buyer and better than new!
