When’s the last time you saw one of these on the road? This 1989 Buick Reatta Coupe is owned by the AACA (Antique Automobile Club of America) Museum in Hershey, Pennsylvania, a non-profit Museum dedicated to the preservation and interpretation of transportation history. It is one of 7,009 Reattas made by Buick in 1989. The car was generously donated to the Museum several years ago for our collection. It is now being offered for sale to highest bidder with a reasonable opening bid and no reserve. All proceeds benefit the Museum. The car is not for sale outside of eBay and the auction will not be ended early. The car was registered and on the road when given to the Museum. We believe it was donated by the original owner who told us it received excellent, regular maintenance. The odometer is just over 217,000 miles but you might not know that by the way the car looks and runs. It came to us from Virginia and its Southern origin shows in the condition of the body and underside. The Buick is in good overall condition and would make a great starter car, second car or restorable collectible vehicle for the Buick enthusiast. The car appears to wear much of its original white paint. Overall it is fairly straight with just about no rust. There is a bit of surface oxidation on the chassis and a small orange spot here or there where the paint is nicked, but that is it. The car has its share of small dents, dings and scrapes, as you would expect of a vehicle that was regularly road driven. The front hood edge is probably the worst area on the car, as it has a fair number of stone chips. There are no glaring imperfections. The accompanying photographs show most of the areas and accurately represent the car’s finish. Overall, the Buick’s exterior is very presentable. Inside, the leather interior is complete with normal wear and tear. The storage compartments and center console are clean and functional, the headliner is intact. Most if not all gauges and power options are in working condition but have not been tested one at a time. If you want to know about a specific feature, please let us know. The car starts, idles and seems to run well. It has been driven around the Museum campus with no problem. The transmission and brake systems are functional. It shows no leaks or puddles upon storage. The car still has its original Reatta wheels wearing 215/65R 15 tires that are in very good condition. This vehicle is offered as is, where is, with no warranty expressed or implied. It has a valid Pennsylvania title which will be transferred to the new owner upon successful completion of the transaction. Shipping and transportation of the Buick will be the responsibility of the new owner. We will gladly work with you or the shipper/transporter of your choice to coordinate the move. The new owner will have two weeks from the completion of the auction to pick up the vehicle unless other arrangements are made in advance. The first addition to the description disappeared after a few hours - not sure why? THIS VEHICLE HAS 217,000 MILES, Not 21700. One of the zeros was mistakenly kicked out when the section was completed and once a bid is placed, it cannot be changed. The actual mileage is listed again and accurately in the description and the Car Fax type report provided by eBay also has it correct. Sorry for the confusion.
