Up for auction is the classic style Volvo 240 with the heavy metal! This car is very sharp and built like a tank. As you are probably aware, the 1993 model was the last in this line and is quite collectible. I will throw in the roof rack (nice Thule rack) because, I coincidentally learned that it fits this model (pulled from an old Subaru)... also has snowboard carrier by Barrecrafters. The highlights of the car are as follows: Great exterior condition with no rust Interior also in good shape, blue cloth seats in good shape A very safe vehicle with ratings to prove it, but also the solid metal, airbags and Volvo focus on safety Louisiana Inspection sticker valid thru September 2010 Dependable daily driver with only a few quirks that are easily managed Collectible vehicle, could be a nice project car in addition to functional transport with good gas mileage The challenges are: Odometer has been inoperable for the past 3,000 to 4,000 miles and is pegged at just over at 154,000 miles A/C is functional but struggles on the hottest days in Louisiana - may just need serviced temperature indicator works sporadically, I have the part that needs to be installed to correct this and will include with sale shallow surface dent running diagonally on front hood as a result of a fallen limb during Hurricane Gustav (see pics) missing one of the taillight covers (see pics) Thought I'd hold on to this until my daughter made 16, but that's a little too far off and it is not necessary any longer to have a second vehicle; figured I'd save the modest additional insurance cost and let someone make the best of this car's middle aged years! I have a Certificate of Title and am hoping to sell to someone who appreciates the utility and dependability of the Volvo cars of this era.
