Vehicle Detail

I purchased this car with plans to restore it a couple of years ago when I saw how straight the body was and the nice condition of the interior. Unfortunately I haven't had the resources to carry out my plan and thought it was time to sell it rather than let it sit in my driveway. The body is in good shape except for the rust on top of the roof, and the front corner of the car, which can be seen in the pictures. The body is from what I can tell, pretty much straight. The interior is in nice shape. The cloth part of the seats is faded from age, but show little signs of any tears. The drivers door panel has some cracks, and the passengers does also, but they are not totally destroyed, and I don't really know, but could possibly be repaired? The back seat is also faded, but once again, the leather part of the seats is in great shape, as in the front. The side panels in the rear of the car are in perfect shape. Still hold their color well and have no damage. The headliner is flawless. No rips or signs of wear, doesn't even look like the seat belts have ever been taken down from their clips. This car is complete both inside and out. All the chrome is in good shape, and most of it could use a good cleaning, but shouldn't even need to be refinished. The rear bumper does have some rust on one side. All the glass is intact and appears to be clear. The tires are the old school fat white walls. I priced these tires on the internet, and the tires alone would go for a couple hundred a piece new. These aren't new but they have very few miles, and the tread is still great. The car has sat for awhile, but I have kept the air up in the tires and the car has been moved a couple of times. This car does NOT run in its current condition. Odometer shows 67,635, but could have "rolled over" and could be 167,635. It is hard to tell because of the nice condition of the interior. I believe it has a 472 c.i. V-8 motor. From what I can tell, everything under the hood is there. I was told by the guy I bought it from, that the motor threw a bearing or something. He said a mechanic told him it was possible to fix it through the oil pan but said there was no guarantees whether it would work or not. To be safe, I think it is best to just assume that the motor needs to be either replaced or rebuilt. Since I have never had the car running, I have no idea of the true condition of either the motor, transmission, suspension, brakes, or any of the other mechanical components. All I can say is that everything "appears" to be there, but I can't guarantee that since I am no mechanic. The car is being sold "as is" with no guarantees, either expressed or implied. I think it would be a great candidate for a restoration, or at least worthy of being fixed and returned to the road. Buyer will be responsible for shipping and removal from my driveway. Full payment is due within a week of the sale end date, and I will give an additonal week to pick the car up. Happy Bidding, let me know if you need additional pics or have any questions.
