This vehicle has the 2.5 liter V6 engine with just over 137,000 miles on it and an automatic transmission. This vehicle ran and drove perfect until last week when it quit running on the previous owner and he traded it in on a different vehicle. This is a great you-fix-it opportunity for someone with a little mechanical ability. It appears the front timing belt slipped teeth, engine turns over freely but there is no compression on 2 of the front 3 cylinders. There are separate timing belts for each head and there is no indication of any problems with the back 3 cylinders or head. Lucky thing is the front head is the easy side to work on. We expect it needs a timing belt, plus one head removed and refurbished, presumably it will need a couple valves and then re-assembled. Previous owner reports that the transmission, 4x4, air conditioning etc all worked perfectly as of last week. Previous owner is 60 years old, lives and works locally and this was his only vehicle, he drove it every day back and forth to work. The vehicle is in great condition for its age. There is no rust anywhere on the vehicle. There are some scuffs along the driver’s side panels of the vehicle (as shown in pictures). Tires are in great condition, still have 90% tread on them. Vehicle has tan leather interior with no rips or tears. There are few scuffs along the back of the front seats, but these would most likely clean up with some leather cleaner and elbow grease.
