Low mileage series sixty-two hardtop. I purchased car several years ago, and at that time, believed previous owners claim of 32,000 unmolested original miles. My photos of vehicle with light blue body and white top are from when I first brought it home. Engine, transmission, and all operating mechanics are solid original in perfect operating status. Interior is original light blue brocade fabric with perfect padded matching dash all interior trim is excellent and complete. Steering wheel is excellent with clear uncracked or faded center dome. Headliner is not original and should be replaced. I will include Coupe Deville accent trim for the new headliner should you decide to go that route. Paint is nearly two years old, Body is Hot Rod Satin Black and top is the highest content metallic silver available and if desired could be given a high luster clear over it for your own look.Air Ride system was professionally installed and maintained and sits real low when parked and rides nice and smooth when driving. Low profile wide white radials have low miles. Original Wonder-Bar radio is perfect, but has been disconnected and a CD unit with remote is installed in glovebox. Stereo system has custom built speaker box at rear window ledge and is upholstered in mexican blanket. Pinstriping is Old School cool with great accent colors.This crowd pleaser always receives it's share of attention and photo ops from the novice to the extreme Rat Rod folks. Can be seen in GoodGuys Gazette Columbus and Blue Suede Cruise coverage. Historic facts are as follows: Cadillac built 27,879 Series 62 coupes in 1955 with a suggested retail of $3,882. A new Chevy was $1700 and a nice home in the suburbs was $15000 yet GM could not built enough of these works of art to fill the orders as they were fast, classy, and surprisingly economical! To answer questions locally, exhaust exits through stock rear bumper ends as original and vehicle does retain stock adjustable rear license plate bracket to accomadate any size plate from any and all states and countries.
