I have 1971 GTO Convertible. This car is not a basket case, but a project that needs restoration. This car is very solid, doors line up perfect and shut with no sag. This car has been storage since 1984 when last registered. The previews owner partially disasembled car and also rebuilt short block. This car has the original paint on it which is Canyon Copper and was never hit. The interior is the original color, Saddle; the convertible top from factory is white. I have the engine and transmission which is the original numbers matching, 400 CID motor and turbo 400 transmission, both are out of car. The heads to the engine is the only part I don't have. The front nose is off the car. This car is loaded with options, it has air conditioning, power windows, power disk breaks, power stearing, power trunk lock, power convertible top, clock in dash, console, bucket seats, also rally wheels. Now for the condition of the car, the front fenders and wheel wells are in great shape, no rot or holes. The hood is in great shape, except for the front, there is a small rust hole as shown in picture. The doors are in great shape, no rot just lite rust on bottoms inside. Rocker panels have no rot or rust, very solid, you can stand on them. Below windshield needs repair as shown in picture. Floor in car can be patched in where rust holes are, in front driver and passenger side floor as shown in picture, also passenger side back seat floor needs repair as shown in picture. The trunk and rear inner wheel wells are in really good shape. Trunk needs small repair, in upper left side as shown in picture. Rear quarter panels need repair arround wheel well lips and rear lower quarters need patch panels. These quarters do not need to be cut off, the body lines are great and solid. As you can see from the pictures, I have every single part to re-assemble this car, including the original radiador and air conditioning pump, hood hinges. The dashboard was never disassembled except for duct work which is there. This car is one of the best foundations and very rare as of very few convertible GTOs were made and the last year of pure muscle cars.
