Over $15K Invested. 1976 Cadillac Eldorado Convertible, 114k. Over $15k invested, $4000 in just the last year. Reupholstered seats and door panels professionally done with red piping, custom stereo with mp3 player, new fender extensions in front. Over the last 2 years new fuel and brake lines, new master cylinder, alternator, battery, rebuilt transmission, overhauled a/c system, all new components including compressor, evaporator, condenser, etc. Over the last six months had the ENTIRE front end rebuilt. If you're familiar with Eldorados you know that the stress of having the weight of a 500 cubic inch V8 over a front wheel drive car causes parts to wear out quickly, and these parts are NOT cheap. New upper and lower ball joints, new wheel bearings and seals, new complete front axle driveshafts, KYB gas adjustable shocks and sway bar end links. Front end work totaled just under $2500 including four wheel alignment that took the shop a good half day to get just right. The braking system was upgraded with slotted and drilled rotors and ceramic pads, this big girl stops on a dime now. Lots of power, handles great, a pleasure on the highway.
