I HAVE LOWERED THE STARTING PRICE TO $2,500.00 WITH NO RESERVE. THIS CAR IS A DAILY DRIVER...EVEN THE CLOCK STILL WORKS...YOU WILL NOT FIND A BETTER BUG CONVERTIBLE FOR THIS PRICE ANYWHERE. I bought this car in 1993 when one of my daughters was ten years old because she wanted a bug convertible. It was a silver bug being driven daily in Baltimore. I stored the car and drove it on occasion...in 1998 I began rebuilding the car. New floor pans, new seat covers, rebuilt the top frame with new parts...had a top put on professionally with a glass window...put brand new tires (wide white walls)....new carpet inside...new fuel lines, brake lines and had the bearings and seals replaced...new brake shoes front and rear...and then.... I PUT ON OAK WOOD PANELS ABOUT 1.5 INCHES WIDE (FLOORING TYPE OF OAK PIECES) ON BOTH SIDES OF THE CAR...MAKING IT THE ONLY VW WOODY IN THE LAND. EVEN THE FRONT AND REAR BUMPER ARE WOOD. This VW has new door panels, a SHERWOOD am/fm radio with cassette deck...and I can include a black "bra" with the car. THIS CAR CAN BE DRIVEN DAILY...BUT HAS NO HEAT OR AIR CONDITIONING. IN THE LAST 12 YEARS WE HAVE DRIVEN THE CAR LESS THAN 600 MILES....STRICTLY A BUG WE HAVE KEPT STORED IN OUR BARN...DRIVEN A FEW TIMES EACH SUMMER. The body is not perfect....there is a little damage on the front hood....which is why I kept the bra on the car. minor dings on the panels below the front hood and below the trunk cover. I am moving soon and will lose my barn and must part with this car. YOU ARE BUYING THIS CAR AS-IS/WHERE-IS AND YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR SHIPPING.
