I am reluctantly selling my 1974 Lincoln Mark IV. It is the nicest 1974 Lincoln I have seen since 1974 when my parents had one brand new along with our 1973 T Bird . My family has always been a Ford family. I went on to Ford Motor Company's college program and ran the service department of the largest Lincoln-Mercury dealer in the State of Florida. Lincolns are in my blood. I purchased the car from the original owner a few years ago and have put about 50 miles on it. I was planning on keeping the car forever and would have until my friend that was storing the car sold the building it was in. Otherwise this car would stay with me forever. The car is 99.9% rust free and accident free. It has been loved as a prize possesion by me and the original owner and it shows. It has been kept in garage since new. The car runs and drive just the way it did in 1974. The 460 engine has plenty of power and runs smooth as glass. There are no known mechanical issues. The original interior is in excellent condition except for some minor sun fade on the drivers seat due to light coming in the original owners garage window. It can be easily fixed by any interior specialist with a little water based dye to look brand new. Other than the small amount of fade the interior is mint. Once again the best I have seen since 1974. I have the original dealer brochure that was given to the orignial owner when they ordered this very rare Gold Edition Mark IV (the top of the line Matk IV for 1974) along with all the original Ford shop manuals for the car. This is the one you have been waiting for! The only issues the car has is the original owner had two of the bumper guards replated and the chrome work was poor. The chrome is peeling. There is a small area on the hood where the clear coat has checked. I have a painter that can repair it for 200.00 I know I have missed many things you may want to know so please ask any and all questions before you bid. The car is being offered locally and in other places. When it is gone ,it is gone . Do not wait to bid at the end as it may not be here. the auction may end at any time.
