Vehicle Detail
1970 Chevrolet Custom/20 Up for auction is a very clean and reliable 1970 Chevy C/20 pickup with a fresh crate engine. This is a perfect example of a well-kept true California classic Chevy with absolutely zero rust. It underwent a frame-off restoration in 2002 and has been garage stored ever since. Has all factory options including working A/C, power steering, and power disc brakes. Drives like a dream and needs nothing but a new home. Well over $15k invested with lots of documentation, invoices, and original service records. I need to make room for some new toys so this beauty has to go, my loss your gain! Drive train: Chevrolet crate 350 motor with less than 10k miles, backed up by the original rebuilt Turbo Hydra-matic transmission. Custom exhaust with Thorley long tube headers straight pipes and dual flow masters, sounds amazing! Has a Holley 4brl Carb, new battery, all new hoses, belts, and fluids. Ready to be driven anywhere. The air conditioning, heater, power steering, and aftermarket stereo work great (I‘m including the original factory stereo as well). All electrical is in great shape including headlights, dash gauges, turn signals, wipers, ect.. This truck is in perfect mechanical shape and ready to hit the road. Body: All original sheet metal with absolutely NO rust or bondo anywhere. You can go through the entire truck with a magnet and not find any filler spots. The frame was removed and powdercoated at the time of restoration in 2002. The two stage Wimbledon white paintjob is about 8 years old and does have some minor chips from normal wear & tear but as you can see in the pictures it still shines up very nice and looks clean. There’s only one dent on the truck in the driver-side rear fender that my wife made while she was backing up at the gas station just last month. It’s an easy body shop fix. I also have a new Custom/20 emblem that goes on the driver-side front fender above the 350 emblem. Truck has original glass in excellent shape and new weather-stripping all around. The bed wood is in good shape with no rot as you can see from the pics of the underside, it just has some minor surface weathering that could use light sanding and coating to get it back to show quality. Wheels, Brakes, & Suspension: Original rally-style 15” wheels painted to match the truck with chrome beauty rings and Chevy center caps. Goodyear tires are in good shape and have about 75% tread left. Suspension was rebuilt at time of restoration with new shocks, steering components, and bushings. Drives and handles great at all speeds. Front disc brakes just rebuilt last month with new rear drum pads as well,, stops on a dime! This is a great classic Chevy that can be used as a daily driver or weekend cruiser. It’s ready to be enjoyed as is, turn heads, and get compliments wherever you go! As all other classic cars it is being sold in “AS IS” condition with no warranty implied or expressed with this sale. Please ask questions if you are unsure of anything prior to bidding. The car is available for inspection by and serious bidder before the auction ends so feel free to give me a call at (714)234-9674 -Dave. This is a NO RESERVE auction and it will sell to the highest bidder. Please don’t ask me how much it will take to end the auction or if I will consider any trades. View my feedback and bid with confidence. Overseas bidders are welcome to bid and I can assist with the shipping process. I also know a few companies in my area that export to most countries.
