Vehicle Detail
Relisting this beautiful GTO. Last buyer could not come up with the money in time. I am listing my personal PHS documented 1964 Pontiac GTO factory 4 speed with a 421 HO tripower engine. VIN # 824F22418 This car is in excellent condition. This car was built to drive. It is an original GTO. NOT a clone. It is a 421 HO engine from a 65 Catalina 2+2 with the tripower they came from the factory with this engine. The engine is very strong and responsive. Ram Air exhaust manifolds. No signs of bondo. It appears to have had a small patch panel on the lower rear quarter panel but looks like a nice professional installation. Paint looks excellent. Original color in and out. It is hooked to a 4 speed tranny that shifts nice and smooth in all gears. Out back is a brand new posi set from Auburn Gears. It is 3.55 Posi. The rear end is original but the gears are new. The car originally came with a 325 horsepower 389 4 barrel with a 3.23 posi. The 421 HO engine in it has about 15000 miles. It is a YK coded engine. Tires are brand new redlines. Wheels and caps are brand new. Interior looks great. Dash pad is new. Seats and carpet look great. 4 speed console, manual brakes, power steering. The paint looks excellent. There are a few paint bubbles at the bottom of the passenger door. Ive included pics of the traditional trouble spots for rust. You wont see any. The floors and quarters are original and look perfect. Trunk is solid. True Texas car. Suspension is nice and tight. Runs perfect. The 14" tires are a little small for the new 3.55 gears for someone that will do alot of highway driving. But the tire and wheel combo looks awesome. Originally purchased from the dealer in Houston, Tx. Only way to buy them. This car gets a ton of attention every time I get it out. I am a Pontiac collector so I take pride and care of my cars. I've owned a 74 Super Duty Trans AM since I drove it off the showroom floor. It along with a new 74 project is getting my attention now. If you have any questions you can call me at 817-690-7383. (Walt) Please serious calls only. I do have the PHS documents for this car and a clear TX title. Lots of other original paper work included with this car. Selling cheap so dont miss out on this deal.
