Vehicle Detail
This auction is for a 1964 Lincoln Continental 4 door convertible. BARN FIND but unfortunately it was next to the barn under a tree instead of being inside. This car has a clear Nebraska Title in my name and ownership will be transferred to the new buyer upon full payment of the vehicle. The title does show / reflect the 64,145 actual miles that are on this car. The previous owner purchased this car in 1981 with 60,628 (have copy of previous title included) spruced the car up for his wife and only drove 3517 miles before it was parked in or around 1987, 1988 (last year tag on plates) and to my knowledge hasn't ran or been driven since. I don't have and wasn't given any keys but the 430 c.i.d. engine does turn over fine with a battery (not included) and by jumping the starter solenoid on the inner fender. I do think this engine would run if given a little time and talent from a knowledgeable mechanic. This is a very heavy car and seems to roll fine but the brakes don't function very well and in my opinion will need some attention. I haven't been in the trunk so whatever treasures you find will be included in the deal. I have noticed some rust through in the R.H side lower door corners, a dog leg section in front of at least one rear wheel and in at least one rear floor pan. I have also noticed pin hole rust in a couple spots on the deck lid, rust through in the battery tray area and some in the lowest most section of the trunk floor. There very well may be rust in other areas that I haven't mentioned as the car sits too low to the ground and I haven't seen anymore of the bottom than I have described. The original hubcaps are not shown but are included. Because of my interest in old cars I am offering this first to fellow enthusiasts with the hope that someone can put this to good use and save another classic from the crusher. I classify this as very complete original PROJECT CAR that will or may need a FULL restoration. If not restored this has many HARD TO FIND PARTS and would make a great PARTS CAR. This car will be sold as is and as shown and described. Please ask any and all questions before bidding or auction end and as long as time allows I will try my best to answer. If your in the Omaha Nebraska area and wish to see the car in person please email and we can set up a time that I could meet and show you the car. Please bid on the car if your interested as I will not disclose during this listing duration the very reasonable and obtainable reserve price I have set. View my feedback and bid with confidence. The car must be picked up and removed by the winning bidder in Omaha Nebraska from its current location within 2 weeks of auction end. A none refundable $200.00 deposit is required at auction end and the balance paid within the 2 weeks and before the car is picked up. All transportation and associated fees for removal of the vehicle will be the winning bidders responsibility. Extended storage may be possible at the buyers expense as long as the car is paid for in full and any storage arrangements are DISCUSSED AND AGREED UPON before the end of the two week period described in the auction listing. On Jul-19-10 at 07:55:21 PDT, seller added the following information: On Jul-19-10 at 08:07:08 PDT, seller added the following information: It would be best if any extended storage arrangements are discussed and agreed upon BEFORE THE END of the auction listiing and NOT AFTER as listed in the original description.. Please understand I must have as much notice as possible to arrange for any extended storage. I also noticed the EBAY auction listing has shown full payment to be received within 7 days. This is a EBAY posting I can't change. The terms are $200.00 non-refundable deposit paid via Paypal within 24 hours of auction end and the balance to be paid in cash within 2 weeks and or before the car is picked up. I may consider Paypal as a full payment option for the balance but any transaction fees I'm charged will be added to the total. THANKS AND GOOD LUCK
