straightupcycles Store 1976 Honda MR 250 Elsinore Dirt Bike I'm certainly not an expert on Honda Elsinores, but this old dirt bike was practically given to me. I wish I could keep it but unfortunately I have a few other projects pending. I do not know much about it but I will try my best to describe this bike the best I can according to what I was told. It is a 1976 Honda MR 250 Elsinore (The frame number is MR2501005892). First I will list the minuses as I see them...... This old Honda has been sitting for over 10 years in storage. It is what I would consider to be a"barn fresh bike". I am selling this bike just the way I got it.....as-is. This motorcycle is nearly 35 years old and could use some TLC. The seat is weathered and this bike is missing the left side cover. The tires are pretty old and are starting to weather crack. Now, having said that, here are some of the pluses....Although this bike has been sitting for 10 years.....it still starts up and runs, however, it has a hard time starting because the carburetors is very dirty. I'm sure that who ever ends up buying this bike will need to give it a good tune up in order to run well again (clean the carburetor, change the spark plug, change the oil and whatever else a bike will need after sitting this long). I would say that other than the missing side cover and the ripped seat, this bike is pretty much all original and unmolested. The odometer shows that this bike only has 2,796 miles on it. I am guessing that for the right vintage enthusiast , this old Honda could give someone an excellent start for a full out restoration project. I have taken several pictures of this bike so that you can see for yourself its overall condition. My opening bid is $250.00 with no reserve.
